Early July visit

Stayed here as a retired couple early July. Site well run and facilities clean with plenty of hot water. I personally prefer unisex loo arrangements but accept not always found in France. We had a comfort pitch which was of a good size and away from pool area which we requested. Be aware that reception closes between 12.30 and 1.30 each day so time your arrival not to coincide with these times. We used the campsite shop for bread and croissants each morning but not the restaurant as we thought the menu was quite limited and a bit expensive. Migons supermarket in Neydens was fine but beware it doesn’t sell any alcohol and is a fair walk downhill if you are on foot. We preferred Intermarche at St Julian Geneve. Site is in a characterless, modern, suburban area but is well placed for visits to Annecy and Geneva. We found it easy to park in both and very reasonable although Geneva is pricey to eat. Also took the car up the Saleve for great views and visited the lovely village of Yvoire on the lake then took a water bus across. It was also well placed for us to visit relatives in Annemasse. There was the Tour Etape whilst we were there which is the amateur cycle on one of the Tour de France stages so site was busy with cyclists at the weekend. If we visited again we would probably choose to be there before July or in September as school holidays had begun in Europe so there were quite a lot of children quite rightly enjoying the pool area but we could see at quieter times it would be a nice area to sit and relax.
