Darling Buds of May.

Signage could have been better at this site withjust a small club sign on the gate. Entrance is down a bumpy farm track the through the farm yard on on to a small bridge over a steam. It’s very tight with a large twin axle caravan but we managed it with a bit of guidance. Reminiscent of the Darling Buds of May with ducks wandering about and sheep in neighbouring fields. The site is an old apple orchard with long grass which wasn’t a problem as the weather was glorious but would be an issue in poor weather. There is a footpath to the rear of the site as is the railway, so there is a bit of noise but nothing to worry about. Nice 20 min walk in to the town which has shops, pubs and a pretty harbour. Just a tap and a drain to put your waste into which was fine for us. Never saw the owner so just wired the payment over. A very peaceful off grid site.Good phone and TV reception.
