Lasting memories of glorious sunsets lots of sun, as usual the very high standards of Caravan Club facilities and cleanliness well done to the wardens. We extended our stay what a beautiful site.

Idyllic

Very much better than anticipated in the inclement weather we had. Enjoyed the local walking and especially the waterfall views. The site was up to the mark with all facilities and helpful wardens. We will return! The views across the loch from our location are stunning and just right for the setting sun with a G&T in hand.

Tranquil

Stayed here for three nights on a tour of Scotland and the Lake District. It is a very clean, well kept site with friendly, hard working wardens. The site itself is very peaceful with amazing views over the Loch. We were lucky to have a Loch side pitch and although the weather left a lot to be desired there was always plenty to look at and some lovely walks. The local pub/restaurant is a short walk away with a good, reasonably priced menu. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Looking old

Stayed for 5 days this August on tour of Scotland. Have stayed several times before. Have to say it's looking a bit old and tired. Needs investment in refurbishment of the facilities. I know it's not a requirement for the reception to sell anything but it was a pain having to go to Fort William just to get milk - never had that problem on a CC site ever before. If we visit again we will bring fridge freezer fully stocked.

A bit of a let down

Visited Bunree twice in two weeks, not the way further North and again on the way back staying a total of seven nights. We were recommended to visit this site by friends who rate it highly. However we came away feeling a little disappointed. Yes the amenity block is kept clean and the drying room and laundry facilities are great, but the wardens only just seem to do what's required and no more. We were flooded during a heavy rain storm with 4 inches of water in the awning, as were our immediate neighbours and, as we later found out, two other pitches. Now I accept that we have no control over the weather but the wardens were noticeable by their absence, even after I had gone over to get something to help shift the water. I also agree that the rubbish at the gate could have been dealt with or at least tidied up until it was collected. On a positive note Fort William had everything for our needs including a designated caravan parking area behind Morrisons - great for stocking up up if going further afield. The closest pub/ restaurant is excellent, great food, dog friendly and five minutes walk and the walks through the woods are short but well worth doing. will we be returning......I don't think so.

heaven on earth

This was our second visit in as many years,a cheery and pleasant welcome again greeted us , We were lucky to get a waters edge pitch from which to launch my dinghy from. The park is so peaceful and perfectly situated for exploring. As it turned out I wish we had stayed a few days more. Our planned second 4 days on The West coast at North Ledaig had to be reduced to 3,and we were informed on arrival there that It would cost me my £10 deposit for cancelling the 4th night!.Had I known I would have stayed at Bunree for three more days, saved £20 in fuel, and stayed on a far superior site.

Great Stay pity about the Rubbish at the Gate

We concur with robert801 review, great place to stay just couldn't fault the site but the untidy pile of rubbish at the entrance from the neighbouring house really let the side down, the new wardens are very pleasant and I am sure they will be up to the task given time, we would certainly visit again as its one of our top sites along with Maragowan, Killin. There's a shop in the next village but it keeps odd hours so if you need any supplies remember and pick them up before you settle in, great walks along the beach, and other surrounding areas, handy for trips to see the Glenfinnan Monument and viaduct, also great base for touring further afield, it would be hard to find a more stunning location

Still a wonderful site yet somehow losing its sparkle

This is a wonderful site and we've been here twice before and loved it. However Bill and Linda are a huge miss! The new wardens are pleasant enough yet we hardly saw them, unlike previous visits where the wardens were continuously seen working around site. The site doesn't appear as well kept and in the two weeks of our stay a huge pile of rubbish greeted us every time we re entered the site. The pool room was locked more than it was open. Laundry has become terribly expensive and the removal of the spin dryer is a huge miss, however the drying room is still a valuable and handy asset. The shower facilities are still very decent but stating to become a little grubby. The site itself is magnificent and the view up the loch continues to amaze me. Our three girls thourghly enjoyed the holiday as did my wife and I but not as impressed as before. Sorry guys
