Lovely site. Clean and tidy.

Although this is a lovely site, it does need more information about buses, where to get it, what times and how frequent. It is certainly not a 15 minute walk into town. If you are walking fast and striding out maybe but not a pleasant walk. Nor is the walk to Dunster an easy or short walk. More info on the route to walk and bus timetables with where to get them. Also the West Somerset Railway is on the seafront and there was no information on where or when it was or buses we could get to it. We found it by accident. Minehead itself, the Railway and Dunster Castle are all worth visiting.

This site never disappoints

My wife and I visit Minehead CAMC site every year. Sam and Zoe the wardens always make us so welcome. The site is superbly maintained with the grass between the pitches cut regularly and before every new arrival. The area around reception is decorated with flowers and cheery artwork. The toilet block, although dated by current standards, is kept immaculately clean. There is a well stocked information room together with a book and DVD lending library. We will continue to return.

Disappointed

Site was full on arrival we had the last pitch on the top tier , couldn’t get caravan level due to length luckily plenty of other pitches were available the follow day so we could move . The pitches on the top level are really not up to CMHC standards. Site is in a good location however wouldn’t go again. Facilities were clean but dated .

Lovely Site

Another Stay at the Minehead club site. Our third visit this year. One of our favourite sites. Near to town, a shortish walk. But nice a calm and peaceful in the evening. In an old quarry so different levels . But lots of mature trees etc. wardens are ever so nice. As is “Mouse” the resident lurcher. CoOp and chip shop 5 min walk away. Pub is a little further. I just adore coming here.

Lovely Quiet Site close to Town and Beach

This is a lovely site, quite small but secluded and quiet. The wardens were lovely and friendly and the site is well kept. The amenity block of toilets, showers etc and washing up facilities are kept really clean and well decorated. Planters outside the amenity block and around the site were looking lovely on my June visit. Some of the pitches have a slight slope to them. Ensure you have pegs that will go into hard ground for awnings, toilet tents etc. and some pitches need a longer EHU cable. There are shops and a pub 5-10 minutes walk away, a bus stop too and the High Street takes about 20 minutes walk depending how fast you walk! Highly recommend stopping here.

Worth a visit

This site was in a good location for walking to Minehead seafront, walking to local Co-op and walking to a nearby park. Friendly welcoming wardens, dog walk in some trees, hilly on site. Park very close for children and to walk the dog. Overall no complaints. Probably wouldn't visit again as we ve seen what there is to see.

Fabulous Site

Our first visit. This is a small site set into a hillside which makes it feel much more personal than some of the larger sites. We did need to level our van. 15 minutes walk to Minehead Seafront. Co-op and newsagents within 5 minutes walk. We did have a bit of trouble with getting a good TV signal but suspect that was just the pitch we were on. Beautiful walk into Dunster. There is only one shower block which was extremely clean, as was the whole site. Wardens extremely friendly and helpful. Really well stocked information room. We can’t comment on whether it is good for families as ours are grown up and we’re not with us. However there is no play area so would suggest probably better for adults

Excellent Site

Had a short stay on this site for the first time, primarily chosen due to its close location to my home and is open throughout the year. It is a small site, immaculately kept as are all the facilities, every where clean and fresh with very helpful and friendly staff. The location close to the Town made for easy walking access for shopping and local eateries.
