Helpful and understanding staff

During our recent stay at this site my husband became unwell and had to be admitted to hospital for 5 days. The staff were very helpful and made it easy for me to extend our stay day by day. I felt safe being in the caravan on my own and was confident that if I had any practical issues with the caravan the staff would have been helpful. It is a calm and well run site which was great for us at a difficult time. Thank you!

Great for visiting Glasgow or for overnight stopover

Not much to add to the previous reviews on here. Site is very well kept, facilities are good and kept clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hamilton is easy enough to get to for supplies by car or by walking/cycling through the park. I'm a light sleeper but found the road noise not too bad as its a consistant hum. Its not the kind of site where you can sit outside and relax due to the road noise but its a great site for visiting Glasgow and the surrounding area or for an overnight stop if you are heading north (or south). Fish & Chip fans - I thoroughly recommend the Olympia in Bothwell High St (about a mile from the site) - it lives up the the great reviews on google.

Well kept friendly site

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Glasgow. The site is very well kept and maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The proximity to the country park is probably a big attraction to many and we enjoyed a walk around it. The site is easily accessible by major roads and hence there is some traffic noise. If you like TV I'd suggest you bring an aerial cable as they were out of stock. Our small satellite dish couldn't pick up anything either. Getting into Glasgow requires getting to the nearest station, there are no buses to speak of. We used the local taxi and they were very prompt. As well as Glasgow we visited the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies which are relatively near. Would come back again ( with aerial cable!)

What an absolute gem

Where do we start? We stayed here last year in a tent en route to Arran, Barra, Skye and the NC500. We were SO impressed, we decided to stay this year in the motorhome. Absolutely fab. Wee bit of road noise, not noticable through the night. We had the misfortune to have an issue with the van when we were there. No problem for the crew, they rebooked us for another week and were so accommodating. The staff are excellent, they work super hard and are really friendly. Book with confidence. Thank you so very much for all your help. Facilities spotless. We will see ye on the way back down from the highlands. Highly recommended. Bailey the dug loved it, he met deer, squirrels and plenty other well behaved doggles.

Couldn't have done more for us

Staff were kind and ever so helpful, unfortunately I had an accident getting on my motorbike and severely injured my knee. The staff were supportive straight away providing initial first aid support and calling for an ambulance. Unfortunately due to delays the ambulance was advising they offered to take me to A & E by the staff members helping me. I decided not to go to A & E and to remain on site and rest my knee. The staff allowed us to pitch the tent close by the shower and toilet block despite it not being in use due to a boiler fault and opened it up for me to ensure I didn't have far to go to the toilet. They also provided ice blocks and a chair for me. The kindness shone I cannot fault, it was very much appreciated. We have stayed on this site before on a number of occasions when travelling north and will use again in the future. The site is always clean and tidy with good facilities. Would definitely recommend.

Good Stopover convenient for Glasgow

We used this site as a base for attending a function at Hotel within the park. It is very convenient being close to motorway. Very easy access to Park facilities. There is a theme park, lake, Two Hotels and Pizza restaurant within walking distance in park. Great path network and dog walking. Did not see any local shops or Public transport but Park and Ride was mentioned. Pitches are spacious with nice grassy areas. Two toilet blocks are both very clean but showers in smaller one were out of action, not a problem though. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Grass was being allowed to grow for wildlife which wasn't a problem as plenty of access paths. There is Road Noise but it didnt worry us. Park itself is very busy but site is well out of the way of the main road circuit. Enjoyed our visit Andy and Anne

Noisy

Excellent location and staff but the noise from the motorways was such that if we had known, we wouldn't have booked. First and last time here.

Very convenient stopover

We stayed for 1 night on our way up to the Cairngorms. Really convenient as just off the motorway. Also 2 supermarkets nearby for topping up with food and fuel. Large adjoining park with lake to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. Staff provided helpful suggestions of places to visit on our onward journey by Loch Lomond.

Great central location for storage and as a base to explore to east or west.

We store our caravan here. As golfers, we can easily access both east or west coasts within an hour. It also has excellent access to the road network, for taking the caravan in any direction.

good site in convenient location

First time of using this as a stop off site. Very convenient for motorway (there is sound from it). Also good for other facilities and filling up. Good dog walk on site and also in country park (bit littered, but good for walking). Three deer seen on site along with other wildlife!
