From Thursday 23 July for 5 weeks the following roads will be closed between Hilltop Lane and Chaldon Common Road. Please take J8 off the M25. The first exit says Reigate, follow it down then take the sign that says Merstam, your Sat Nav will bring you in through Shepherds Hill. Due to the deer rutting season, Forestry England will close the gate at the top of Aldridge Hill (access road to site) from end September through to 4 January 2027. Entry is only permitted to CAMC site guests. Please open the gate and ensure you close it behind you before continuing on to our campsite.

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite reopened on 20 July 2026, with the new licensed cafe and facilities block, along with pitches on the upper (eastern) part of the campsite. The entire campsite is expected to be fully open and operational later in August.

The children's play area and onsite dog walk will not open until towards the end of October whilst final works to fit out these brand new areas conclude. Dog walking is available directly from the site but we ask that dogs are kept on a lead due to farm animal grazing.

While our first 50 pitches and new facilities open in July, please note that redevelopment will be ongoing as we complete the lower section of the campsite. If you stay with us during this time, you may experience some noise or disruption as we complete the final stages of the project. We are doing our best to keep any impact to a minimum and appreciate your patience while we finish this exciting transformation.

Chef Philppe is closed until 18 October.

Development works at the neighbouring sports ground and land to the north will commence on 28 September through to Christmas 2026. This will result in increased lorry movements in the area and noise from construction machinery during working hours from 8am (excluding weekends) which will be heard from site.

Due to essential maintenance, the lower facility block will be closed on Monday 2 November between 07:30am-4pm. The toilets/vanity cubicles will then be available but the showers will remain closed until late afternoon on Wednesday 4 November. During these periods, the smaller facility block within the Goods Shed will remain open as normal.

The Cirencester Half-Marathon takes place on Sunday 1 November. This is a closed-road-race so many of the roads and car parks within Cirencester will be closed to traffic between 07:00-13:30. The race passes through Bathurst Estate to the finish line in Market Square. There may be increased vehicle and traffic delays in the surrounding area.

The nearest petrol station to the site is "Gulf Lix Toll Fuel Express" but has no petrol or diesel available until further notice. Alternative fuel stations are located in Callander (24 miles from site), Aberfeldy (21 miles from site), and Tyndrum (20 miles from site).

Though there are no bonfire night events at Clumber Park there are some locally scheduled events. One of which is at the nearby Worksop College on Friday 6 November. The college is approximately 5 miles from this site and there is likely to be some noise disruption for the duration of the event.

The A57 between A1 roundabout and Greencore/DHL roundabout, will be closed between 8pm - 6am from 14 September for 2 weeks.

Essential underground cable works on the A5084 (between Rectory Lane and Sunny Bank/Torver road to Coniston) will cause significant travel disruptions over the coming months.
Phased Works Schedule:

• 7 October – 1 November 2026: Temporary traffic lights (expect delays).
• 2 November – 6 December 2026: Full road closure.
• 7 December 2026 – 24 January 2027: Temporary traffic lights (expect delays).

Alternative Route During Full Closure (2 November–6 December):

• Access to the site will be via Ambleside.
• The approach roads from Ambleside are very narrow lanes—please take extra care and drive with caution, especially when towing.

An unexpected failure has occurred to the TV booster system which has ceased operating across the majority of the site. Engineers have been called to investigate and assess the fault. As the signal reception is poor in this location you may not receive all the main channels through your outfit aerial.

During quieter occupancy periods, and in order to be as efficient as possible from a financial and sustainability perspective, please be advised that the facility block in 'Hinds' site area and the shower block by reception will not be in use. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however the respective facilities at 'Dell' and the shower block in 'Iron Horse Meadows' will be available as normal, and all service points across the site will be open.

The playground is currently closed awaiting essential repairs.

The Fairy Garden has been under re-generation and is almost complete.

• The site is on the right in 1/4 mile.
• Please proceed with caution as part of this route is single track with a section in Cotehill that is only 3 metres wide.

The bottom toilet block will be closed from Monday 5 October to Friday 16 October due to essential works. The top toilet block will remain open.

From Monday 28 September - Monday 12 October the A827 will be closed at Killin Golf Club. The road closure is in place between 09:30 and 15:30 for essential bridge repairs. The closure will only affect members/guests travelling to or from the direction of Kenmore/Aberfeldy.

Due to the close proximity of the river there is a possibility that the site may flood during periods of heavy and persistent rain. A358 Westbound from Manor Road to A3065 Silk Mills Lane is closed for roadworks until 31 March 2027. There is no diversion currently in place, please avoid coming off at J25 due to road closures in Taunton. If you are travelling from M5 North, exit at J23 and take A39 exit to Bridgwater/A38/Minehead/Glastonbury/Wells. Follow A39 signposted to Minehead M5 South. At J26, exit towards Wellington/Taunton/A38.

Thames Water closed Bourton Road from the High Street over the weekend of 26/27 September due to urgent repairs. The road will remain closed for up to 3-weeks. To access the site:

• If travelling through Stow on the A429, take the A424 towards Evesham and turn right on the A44. There are road closure signs on the A44 but you may pass to access the campsite.
• If arriving via the Fosse Way (A429) from the North, travel through Evesham and onto the A44. There are road closure signs on the A44 but you may pass to access the campsite.

No vehicles are allowed onto the tent field due to fire risk. This is an all year restriction. We provide trolleys to transport equipment.

Improvement works at Bersted Brooks car park are due to start next month. This includes surfacing improvements and drainage works to enhance the condition of the car park. The car park will be closed from 3 September and the works are expected to take 8-9 weeks. There will be no access to the car park during this time.

Towing a caravan or large MH you will need a coach parking bay. Locations offering coach bays are conveniently near the Ports of:

• Key Road car park – Ryde Port
• Coppins Bridge car park in Newport – for Cowes and Fishbourne ports

Please follow signs to Whitesands Beach and Lleithyr Meadow. Do not follow signs for Lleithyr Farm as the Sat Nav suggests.

The A379 coastal road is severely damaged and closed in parts if travelling from Dartmouth. Motorists are advised to follow official diversions in place which involve travelling inland via A381 and A312. Only use the recommended directions on the Club web page from Kingsbridge and not Sat Nav, due to unsuitable roads for towing.

Roadworks are taking place on the A382 until approximately September 2027. The roadwork signage advises that the A382 is closed but you can still access the site entrance via the A382 as the road closure is further down the road towards Newton Abbot.

The playpark is currently out of service until further notice due to repairs required; we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated near the River Severn and the River Swilgate tributary. Following periods of prolonged and heavy rainfall, river levels may rise causing the tributary to occasionally breach. The access road to site can then become inaccessible and the site might be affected by flooding during these events. To check river levels please see River Severn at Mythe Bridge and for the most up to date information on site status in wet weather, please call the site team on 01684 294035.

Due to the current spell of high temperatures the use of charcoal barbecues will not be permitted at this site.

Notice to dog owners: Incidents of dogs falling ill following a visit to the woodland on the Sandringham Estate can be reported between the months of August and November. This is not specific to the Club site but dog owners should be aware and take precautions when visiting the woodland area around the site. The Warwick annual town bonfire and firework display will be held at the racecourse on Saturday 7 November. All arrivals on 7 November will need to arrive on site no later than 4pm. Traffic around the Racecourse will be very busy as a large crowd is expected. If you have pets with you, please be aware there will be fireworks from 6:40pm. The Jockey Club is holding Christmas dinner events on 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 18 and 19 December to celebrate the seasonal festivities. These events sell out quickly so, if you are booked to stay on our campsite and would like to join the festivities one evening, please see The Jockey Club for information and to book. You may hear the music and celebrations from these events on our campsite into the late evening.

We have been made aware of a wildfire approximately 17 miles from our White House Beach site. This is currently being dealt with by emergency services. Due to the fire risk in the area, no barbecues, naked flames or smoking will be permitted at this site.

Winchester's famous Christmas Market, considered one of the best in Europe, is held in the grounds of the 11th century Cathedral in the city centre from 20 November through to 22 December. A bus departs from outside the site entrance into the City Centre. See Visit Winchester for more information.

Nearby Marwell Zoo is holding a Fire & Ice extravaganza on selected dates between 20 November-30 December. As darkness falls, Fire & Ice creates a festive atmosphere filled with illuminations, interactive play, fire effects and seasonal entertainment. The M3 junction 9 northbound entry slip road will be closed until winter 2027. There will also be no access onto the M3 northbound from junction 9 roundabout. For details on diversions in place please see National Highways.

All Ferry Pitches are located on the site's Upper Level and the toilet and washroom facilities on this level are closed from end of September - April. Ferry Pitch guests are welcome to use the facilities on the Lower Level which are open as normal. The Upper Level Service Points will remain open for drinking water and grey waste and toilet cassette waste disposal.

The County Council are now enforcing No Parking on Station Road outside our site. Please do not arrive and park outside the site before 1pm as you may be issued a parking ticket.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated within York Flood Defense boundaries. If river levels rise, the Environmental Agency close the flood barriers to protect local housing. When the Environmental Agency take the decision to activate the defense it is often at short notice and York Rowntree site has to be evacuated. The access road to the site is inaccessible and the site is also likely to be affected by flooding during these events.
