A terrific location close to the main Pamplona road but it feels a million miles away. Large, level pitches with many having far reaching views. Facilities modern and spotless. Excellent 5G signal. Calm and relaxing. Like others I was concerned about the 'steep' 800m access road. I tow a small caravan with a 122bhp car. Put it in first gear, put my hazards on and it was a doddle. Wouldn't want to arrive as other units are leaving but wait until mid afternoon and I suspect you'd be fine. A site to enjoy.
One of our favourite Spanish sites
We woiuld have loved to stay longer. We arrived in September and the site was not busy. The pitches were fine, with great views. Quiet site. We loved the restaurant on the site. Simple spanish/basque cooking done well. Staff were lovely. We walked down to the local village (Sunbilla) one morning and had a most lovely breakfast in the local bar, sitting outside in the shade. The walk to the village is off road and pleasant. Only takes 10 minutes. Great coffee too.
We took a lovely walk by the river one morning. We were sorry to have to move on to the next site that we had booked on our tour. We will definites come again.
There was one downside in that the concrete access road to the site is pretty steep. I had to stop once for an oncoming car on the way up with the caravan and struggled somewhat to get traction with my 2 wheel car. My rig is small. My car is a Skoda Octavia (150 PS). I made it OK though and will return to the site.
Amazing views
We stayed one night in high season. The site was medium sized and very popular and busy, but wasn't as noisy as we thought, once we settled in. It was perched on top of a little hill so the views of the Pyrenees from the site were stunning. There was a restaurant on site but we didn't use it. There were lots of activities for children and it seemed popular with families. The facilities were plentiful for the size of the site but unfortunately when we were there, they looked very overused with toilet paper and paper towels scattered around the floors. I hoped that they would be cleaned but they were still dirty the next morning by the time we left at about 10am. The other strange quirk was that the electricity hook-up was not visible from our pitch. It was up a steep, slippery bank and through a hedge where we had to share with another row of pitches. There was only one hook up for the whole row, so the cables had to be very long. All the sockets were being used but when I mentioned this to the reception, a handyman was called to add an extension double socket so we could have electricity for our fridge. I would return again because of the views and the location and generally it was a pleasant site.
