B+E training courses

Make sure you're road legal with B+E licence courses

Do you know how much you can legally tow? If you passed your test from 1 January 1997 onwards, your driving licence will be limited to a Category B licence.

If you have a Category B licence, you can legally drive a vehicle with a maximum mass of 3500kg plus a trailer weighing 750kg. You can tow a heavier trailer as long as the combined maximum allowable weights of the towing vehicle and trailer do not exceed 3500kg. Read more about driving licences and towing law.

If you want to tow anything heavier, you'll need a Category B+E licence. That's where we come in!
