This is a big site with excellent clean facilities, plenty of open space and friendly helpful staff.I counted 3 toilet and shower blocks. On arrival we were greeted by a young woman in reception who went out of her way to ensure we had all relevant information. The site is in a sheltered location which we appreciated in the wet and windy conditions of our 2 night stay. We were a little disappointed to discover that Killarney centre is actually 2 miles away rather than the mile stated in the handbook so rather than walking we took a taxi. Once again the receptionist was helpful booking a taxi for us and the cost into town was a reasonable 8 euros. Killarney itself was busy as it was race weekend. There are a lot of souvenir and wool clothing shops which we thought were a bit on the expensive side. As well as its convenient location for Killarney itself most of the attractions of county Kerry are within easy reach.
