The site was fine ... with ease of access to water and electrics, hardstanding etc. But the hosts made it just a fantastic and enjoyable stay. They were welcoming and helped out whenever they could. They helped with setting up and lashing down the caravan with tractor weights in the storms (whilst we were off site) that joined us towards the end of our stay. Our 3 kids had load of their go-kart! They even got up to ensure we were okay leaving the site at 0545 in the morning!
We will definitely return to the site ... if they let us back!
Beautiful Quiet Location
We stayed here for one night after visiting a friend in Antrim and were warmly welcomed by the owners. We enjoyed a bike ride into Ballynahich, which is a lovely town. The site is neat, well laid out, and has everything you need. It was also easy to access even in the cold, icy weather. We will definitely return and would highly recommend it.
Excellent Stopover
Superb CL site. Stopped for one night en route to visit friends, and due to the rainy summer weather, we had the area to ourselves. The owner was so welcoming and her children were lovely. Nice, well kept site with EHU and water taps, chemical and grey water disposal. We were also lucky enough to be able to buy some freshly laid eggs which were delicious. Highly recommend this place, and would definitely stay again if in the area.
Superb Certified Location
Stayed for 4 nights in April 2023. A cracking certified location with very friendly owners. Very spacious, hardstanding pitches with grass for awnings, EHU, plenty of water taps, chemical and grey water disposal, really well maintained site, dog friendly with dog walks nearby and easy access to Montalto Estate / Newcastle / Castlewellan and beyond. Very peaceful location and no hesitation in recommending, look forward to staying again.

We chose this site as a stopover place on our round-Ireland tour having previously been to the Giants Causeway prior to travelling back to Dublin to catch the ferry back to Holyhead. The site was easy to access and is convenient for local exploration of Belfast, Newcastle/Mourne Mountains and the Lochs of Strangford and Neagh.
The site was clean and well kept and the owners very friendly and welcoming with each site having its own EHU and a shared water supply (one supply for a pair of pitches).
About a mile from Ballynahinch town centre and opposite the towns Rugby club the site is quiet but close enough for supermarkets/petrol/pubs etc.
The bus from Ballynahinch town centre cost £12 for 2 people return : we went to the Titanic experinence which was quite good.
I would recommend this site and would not hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.
