Excellent CL

Called last minute & got a pitch, very easy access from the M4. Really nice owners who were very friendly. The CL itself is very nicely kept, neat, tidy & pretty. Two pubs locally ( the Bull was our favourite) and plenty of dog walks. All in all excellent CL, outstanding value, highly recommended…

Brilliant

Stayed here to have our caravan serviced nearby. Lovely welcome from the owner who also came to see us off, having opened the gate ready for us. He even asked of we had any rubbish he could dispose of for us! This was over and beyond what one would ever expect! All this for £7 per night. Many thanks indeed.

Caravan service and a weekend away

A very warm welcome from the site owner on arrival. We have been to this CL a few times over the years and can say that the site is still very very well maintained grass is short, hedges trimmed, bins are emptied every day. The CL field is flat with very easy access, no electric hook up but not a problem this time of the year the solar panel kept the battery topped up even with good use of the TV and other caravan kit. A pub is about 5 minutes walk away and the CL is also close to Dyrham Park a National Trust park & house, dogs are not allowed at this National Trust location which is a little odd not even in the grounds on a lead. Bath and Bradford on Avon are close 10 miles or so as is Chipping Sodbury and Yate with it's very good shopping centre. Although the Yate shopping centre is not under cover dogs are not allowed within the shopping centre we only spotted the notice when we were leaving the shopping centre ! We are one of Yates most wanted now. If your using Cotswold View as a stop over on route and need to refuel is worth taking a short drive (5 miles ish each way) to the Cotswold Service Gulf Station closed on Sundays on the way into Chipping Sodbury Diesel was £1.919 other stations in the area are at about £1.96 ~ £1.99 We will be back one day.

An absolute pleasure

Stayed here in March 2022, and it was fantastic. Really easy to locate, a warm welcome and a well kept site. Although fairly close to the M4, it really doesn't impose any noticeable intrusion with sound. The site is a proper sun trap and catches the sun all day and evening. The nearby pub offers some great food and a good selection of ales - the pub is just a couple of minutes walk away for a lovely evening out. The nearby city of Bath is a great day out, and using the nearby Park & Ride that can accommodate Motorhomes is a brilliant way of seeing the city. The nearby town of Chipping Sodbury is also worthy of some good food choices and local shops too. Overall, highly recommended, we will certainly be back.

Lovely accessible site and still only £7.00!

Lovely site. Small, well kept with friendly helpful owner. Pleasant views. Not normally my type of site but very useful positioning for walking Cotswold Way, which is close by. Just off A46 , but not noisy..Not far from motorway. Very good pub 300 metres. Good value beer , food a little more pricey but excellent. Good walks to Dyrham . No electric hence the price I guess but all in all a very good site. Would recommend.

Charming well kept CL

We booked in for one night whilst in transit to North Devon. Literally 5 minutes off the M4. Very easy access. What a lovely well managed site. Yes it is very basic but has all the necessary conveniences easy to hand. Beautifully kept grass. The owner is an absolute gentleman, very welcoming and made the effort to come out the next morning to say cheerio.

A friendly welcome awaits you on this well kept CL

This CL has a lovely well kept grass field set behind a dry stone wall. The owner takes a lot of care to keep the grass cut. It's basic but very inexpensive and an ideal stopover being a short distance from junction 18 off the M4. There is a nice pub within easy walking distance that serves meals. Shall definitely use again.

Brownies from the bakery

Being not too far from the M4 and the A46 there was some road noise, but more in the background.  The site is a large field, which had the drinking water in one corner nearest to the bungalow under a white box. Although we didn't use them the area for the toilet/waste disposal was the other side of the adjacent field.  Down the road about 300m on the junction with the A46 is the crown Inn pub and the Marshfield bakery shop. Pub was good for drinks and OK for food taking in consideration the price. Made for a very good one night stop.

Very nice CL

Spot on for stop overs when on route to either west or east directions of the M4. Very level site very easy access, cracking CL neat and tidy very well looked after by the friendly helpful owner. Only ever used as a stop over for one night at a time however have been more than a few times now. Would be happy to stay for longer to visit Bath and Bristol another time. A very quiet spot, no electric makes you feel relaxed.
