Ease of arrival/welcome

Another gem

We arrived at the site early evening and received a very friendly welcome before starting our long weekend. The site is accessed through a narrow driveway but we have a large twin axle outfit and had no problem getting in or out. Our friends, whom we met there, have an 8ft wide van and also had no problems so don’t be put off, just be careful. The only small criticism is that the CAMC sign is not all that visible on the approach so go slowly. The site is grass but nice and flat and, although basic, what is there is first class. It is on the main Witney to Burford B road but the pitches are set well back from the road behind the houses and so there is very little road noise. Minster Lovell is a typical and beautiful English village with a couple of pubs, churches, sports ground and with the addition of a grade 1 listed church and remains of the old Minster Lovell hall, lots to see and enjoy. Almost directly outside the site is a bus stop with buses going to Witney and Burford which are both well worth a visit. The White Hart pub is a five minute walk and served a lovely Sunday roast. There is the Horse and Radish and the Old Swan and Mill hotel a little further away but we will have to try those next time we visit. Highly recommended for those who do not need EHU.
