Lovely, quiet site with beautiful views. Windsor, the owner is very friendly and the sloping pitches are a generous size. The grass was left quite long, so we needed to wear wellies most of the time, especially as it was raining 4 days out of 7 (obviously the owner is not responsible for the weather). The combined toilet and shower facility was basic, but adequate. However, it didn’t seem to be cleaned during the week we were there (no toilet paper after a couple of days). We had three power cuts, the first one was a 4 hour scheduled maintenance by the power company, the second one the money on the meter ran out in the evening and the third one (24 hours later) because of the wrong button having been pushed after putting extra money on. There’s only one electric post with two points on it, so a splitter had to be used on one, as there were three of us in caravans (all friends). We had to put two 25 metre mains leads together for the furthest caravan to be able to reach it. All in all, we felt that £25 per night was overpriced for this site. A big positive is the big tent field behind the pitches, where we were allowed to let our dogs out for an off-lead blast and toileting (which we diligently picked up). Nearby Brechfa Forest is beautiful and there are plenty of walks and bike trails of varying degrees of difficulty.

Quiet, scenic and friendly

I have just spent 5 nights on this lovely little site, we were pitched in the horse menage, which was close to the bathroom and in easy reach of the electric hook up. The bathroom was clean with a large shower, toilet, washbasin, washing machine and kettle. Good CDP. Water front a hose marked as drinking water only and plenty of bins for general waste and recycling. My only negative would be that the site could have done with a mow. It is possible for your horse to holiday with you and there is aloo a bell tent for hire in a different field. Sadly the heron and otter have had the fish out for the pond so didn't have any luck there but there is a rowing boat you are able to use. Nice walks in the forest directly from the site. The village is a mile downhill from site with a very small shop and a fantastic pub, the food was delicious with a lovely atmosphere and dogs welcome but booking is advised.

Basic farm site in beautiful location

The site is a small paddock on a well kept farm. It might be a bit snug when fully occupied but we had it to ourselves so it was perfect. The facilities are basic but well maintained. The owner, Windsor, was very friendly and accomodating. The real joy is the location, looking out over a steep valley on the way up to the heights of the Brechfa forest.
