Have stayed at this Site many times and never tire of it. Lovely area and not too far from home. Wardens friendly and helpful as always. Another very enjoyable stay.
A lovely site in a great location, seemed nice and quiet despite the site being almost full on most days. Ideally placed for days out to the beach as well as snowdon etc. The only issue that we had was the constant attack from the midges that you get at certain times of the year!! (Hardly the club's fault though!!) Other than that, a great site with loads to do close by.
P.s. Thank you to the wardens who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
just spent week here nice when site was half full but a bit close together when full I thought caravan club had a rule about measurement between vans other than this had a good week and wardens are the best
Just spent two weeks on this site. The site is very clean & well kept. Well positioned for most of N. Wales attractions. The only downside is the narrow road in past a row of houses. There is always three or four cars parked along it so care needed.Bring your bird feeders, we had nut hatches & woodpeckers every day. And squirrels which my mate had a mental challenge with. Ended up putting cooking oil on the post to stop it pinching the fat balls.
Great Site, was our first stay with the caravan club. Needed a few days peace and quiet after daughters wedding. This site did not disappoint. The facilities and cleanliness of the site were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did go mid-week, before the bank holiday, so was quite empty, would definitely go again.
We have recently enjoyed a 5 night stay at the site over the bank holiday period. On arrival we were met by a friendly, helpful warden - she had excellent inter personal skills and was more than usually helpful. We had a good choice of pitches and had plenty of room for car and awning. TV reception was excellent. The weather was very mixed but did not stop us enjoying our stay. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely, lovely site. Terrific facilities, superb, helpful and friendly wardens. You just can't ask for anything else. This site is a real find but sshhhh don't tell everyone!
We booked into this site expecting the usual caravan club excellent facilities. We were not disappointed. It was out of season therefore the site was quiet, on arrival the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. A special delight was the variety of pitches, in a number of varied locations with very different aspects. We chose a pitch that was sheltered and sunny with views into the trees. It was a pleasure to sit by the van and listen to and watch the birds. The only caveat I have is that the lake cycle path was not the gentle pedal we expected. Some parts of the route were very demanding, not to say tyre shredding, though the views were always good. The local roads were not my idea of fun for cyclists, so the bus service from the village was most useful. We'll be back!
This is a lovely site built on different levels which makes it interesting. The wardens were very helpful and friendly and we felt welcome there. it is well situated in a village and there are regular buses to Bangor or Aberystwyth and this route runs to Porthmadoc and Caernarfon. It was mid season so it was very quiet. There is an adventure playground for children and a dog walking area.
A beautiful site in a perfect spot to explore Snowdonia. The site has a lovely lay out, with some large pitches, very friendly wardens and beautiful surrounding scenery.
Ok, the village is small and quiet, but bring your own BBQ and beer/tea and sit under the stars. Lambs, buzzards, wildlife all around.
So much to do in the area for outdoor lovers...... walked the circumference of Trawsfynedd reservoir, visited Portmeirion, explored the beaches of the Llyn Peninsular, climbed Cnicht 'the Snowdonia Matterhorn', walked from Beddgelert along the Glaslyn river, hunted for easter eggs around Penryn Castle (NT), picnic at Borth y Gest, and walked the sweeping beach to the lighthouses at Ynys Llanddwyn on Anglesey. Just not enough time to do everything...... so we will definitely be back.
The play area for the children was great, and new friends were made. The showers were hot and spacious and the children loved doing the site treasure hunt.
If you like a nice pub with wood fire and the dirty boots and chitter chatter of excited mountain walkers then eat at 'The Snowdon' at Rhyd Ddu. The highlight was packing up the awning in the snow (for the children anyway!!! :0)
