Had a lovely time at Hunter,s Moon. Friendly sfaff. Toilet block clean and warm. Large pitches easy to set up on.
Another lovely break
We have visited this site 5 times now and it can always be relied upon for its high standards.
Wardens are always helpful and friendly and the site is always immaculate.

Great site
Everything I would expect from a caravan club site. Clean, easy access and very well maintained.
Good first impressions
Picked up our new van on the Saturday and wanted a couple of days away to try everything out - this was the closest site to home that is currently open. Read a number of negative comments on this site but to be honest we do think many people complain for the sake of it! Yes one toilet block was closed, yes the shop was not stocked but hey, it's January and there were very few people about - it makes good business sense as far as I am concerned. The weather was lousy for the whole of the weekend but can't really blame the site for that! We did at least establish that the van is waterproof and the heating works! As for the site, good size pitches, like the layout, the staff that we saw were helpful and friendly and it's well placed for striking out to the many tourists attractions in the region. It was a brief visit but saw enough to know we will be back ??
Same time next year
Stayed at the site over Christmas and new Year. Lovely site clean and tidy, and lovely wardens.

our stay at Hunters Moon
We arrived at the site on New years eve to a very warm welcome from the wardens. We thought it was a very well maintained site with good clean facilities. We stayed for nine nights and found the site very well placed to visit and walk the jurassic coast, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Poole and Swanage are all within forty minutes drive. Very nice stay will be returning.
New Year Break
Despite the generally good facilities and location we found this to be a rather disappointing site. The fact that the shop provided no services, including newspapers, during the winter months meant that there wasn't the usual rapport with the site wardens that we have grown used to during our winter stays at other sites. But our main complaint, as noted in other reviews, was that although we were paying the high Christmas/New Year rates up to the morning of 4th January, the lower toilet block was closed from the morning of 2nd January, which meant a long walk for us in the wind and rain. The wardens said the block was closed because of Club rules relating to numbers of caravans on site, but there still seemed to be a lot of caravans on site, and especially in the vicinity of the lower toilet block. There seemed to be little interest in providing a friendly and supportive service for Club members. And although the toilet block was closed the lights were left on which seemed rather uneconomical.
Will not be rushing to return.
New Year break
We have been to this site many times and always enjoy our stay. The site is centrally placed for visiting many places in the area. Wareham is a lovely small town with lots of pubs, a couple of supermarkets and a few other nice shops. The only downside was the cold shower blocks, even though it was Dec/Jan the heating didnt seem to be on in either blocks.
