The Caravan Club launches an 'Easy Book' function on its website

The new booking facility has now been thoroughly tested by external users, to ensure that it is the best it can be and works well across both desktops and mobile devices and is available online ready for The Club’s 2015 Advance Booking Service (ABS) go-live day, on 3 December – this is a date in the calendar that is extremely busy for The Club, as it releases all its pitches for the forthcoming year for booking.

When bookings opened in December 2013 for the year of 2014, The Club saw a whopping 55,500 bookings made in one day, which gives an indication of the number of bookings the system needs to process quickly.

Peter Martin, Head of Operations Membership Services, says, “While the current ‘UK Holidays Search and Book’ function is a very useful and informative tool for people who want to book a site but are undecided on where or when, there are times when members already know the sites and dates to book and want to do so as quickly as possible. It was following this feedback from Club members that the new ‘Easy Book’ facility was developed. The Club believes this new function will be especially important on ABS Day, when a large volume of bookings need to be made!”

Tony Hall, Director of Marketing for The Caravan Club, says, “‘Easy Book’ now reduces the pitch booking process to just a few clicks. The Club continually strives to improve the experience of members and recognises that when the next years sites are released in December, it is an important day for many wishing to plan their trips for the following year.”
