Ashbourne Certificated Locations

Nestled on the edge of the Peak District, pretty Ashbourne is perennially popular with ramblers thanks to its proximity to the spectacular landscapes of the White Peak.

You can access both Dovedale and the Tissington Trail from this convenient base, as well as scores of other excellent public footpaths.

However, there's much to explore within Ashbourne too. There are more than 200 listed buildings and lots of shops, many tucked down medieval alleyways and around the central marketplace, where a thriving market is held each Thursday and Saturday.

Whether you want antiques and high-end jewellery or the latest fashions, you'll find them here - and you can refresh yourself afterwards at one of Ashbourne's pubs or traditional cafes.

Don't miss the agricultural show in August either, which has been held every year since 1881.
