Fantastic Place to Stay!

Dallachulish Farm
We were very fortunate to be able to stay at the small, but wonderful Dallachulish Farm site for 6 nights in August 2024. It is an absolutely lovely place to stay! A small CL site with Stunningly BIG views! We have stayed on many small sites over the past few years, but can easily say this is the best. It’s calming, peaceful and simply stunning set on a small holding. Ross the owner was very helpful and friendly and keeps the pitches extremely tidy. It’s clean and services very accessible, organised and handy. The views are just wonderful. Both of the loch and the surrounding scenery - including his very happy and well looked after cows and sheep. The shale beach across the way provides a lovely walk and close to Oban etc. Perfect spot for exploring. Will definitely return without hesitation if return to the area👍🏻

Delightful Dallachulish

Dallachulish Farm
We do not think we will ever find another CL as idyllic as Dallachulish. The CL is very well looked after by Ross and you are made to feel so welcome. That view is one we will find hard to replicate with a wee dram at the end of every one of the 11 nights we stayed. Our pitch needed slight levelling but wasn't an issue. The drive across from Stirling was stunning too. We decided to not take the Loch Lomond road as it was narrower with the cliffs and only added 20 minutes on. We loved the area and managed to do loads despite it being wet which didn't put us off at all. We managed to walk some of Ben Nevis waterfall, go on the Jacobite train from Harry Potter films to Millaig, visit Fort William, take part in Scottish dancing at the view in Oban, Isle of Mull and Iona trip, the Oban Highland games were such fun, Port Appin, Oban distillery and we did walks from near the site that were in Ross'Boothy which were also amazing with stunning waterfalls. Sutherlands grove was one of our faves. The seafood in the local area is a must. The best we've ever sampled and so fresh and you must pay a visit to the seafood hut in Oban near the ferries if you like the fresh seafood. We had an amazing 11 nights at didn't want to leave. We went to Kendal after for 2 nights on the way home and decided to not venture to the lakes as we had loved our view so much that's what we wanted to remember. It's 3 days after we left and would leave now again to visit Dallachulish as we found it so peaceful and calm. We will definitely return a d can see why so many people now do. Thank you Ross for this gem.

Stunningly Beautiful CL Site

Dallachulish Farm
Ross the owner welcomed us with his dog Moss. All credit to him the site is beautifully maintained. The views from the CL across the loch to the mountains are amazing! We spent 12 nights in our motorhome and we loved it! It’s particularly good for cyclists. There are an abundance of safe cycle routes. Beauty surrounds you wherever you go! There is a pub just over a mile away, The Creagon Inn, that serves good food. There were several little islands to explore nearby. It’s a delightful experience! Thanks Ross. We hope to return!

Great site, very welcoming owner.

Dallachulish Farm
We spent a week at this site and can't rate it highly enough. Ross is a fabulous host, he was there to greet us on arrival and always seems to be there to wish everyone well upon their departure. The site is immaculate, neatly mowed with fantastic view across the loch to the hills beyond as well as watching the new born lambs frolicking in the field in front of us. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us so, along with my wife's limited mobility, we didn't get as much pleasure out of the area as we otherwise might. I note that, since our departure, the weather map is showing lots of sunshine, so I guess we were just unlucky. We would certainly recommend this site and will definitely use it again if we venture north in the future.

Second Visit Love It!

Dallachulish Farm
Our second visit to this lovely site. Ross the very welcoming owner takes great pride in keeping the site extremely tidy. No facilities but water etc very handy and accessible easily. Hard standing with plenty of grass, which is mown and picked up. Stunning views, short walk to the Loch side, where my husband was lucky to see a glimpse of the otters. Handy for lots of places to see, places to walk,we love Port Appin, also we always dine at The Old Inn when staying that way, quirky pub and booking essential. We will definitely visit again site gets pretty well booked up with returning visitors so would have to plan well in advance.
