Bethesda Certificated Locations

Bethesda in Wales is situated on the River Ogwen and is often referred to as Pesda by locals. It was once famed for its quarrying and you'll find Bethesda purple slate all over the world.

However, it tends to be more well-known now as a place for walking and cycling, thanks to its proximity to Snowdonia. Close by, you'll find the beautiful Nant Ffrancon Pass, Ogwen Falls and even more incredible Welsh scenery, so it's the ideal destination for outdoorsy types.

Another huge attraction is Zip World Velocity, which is the longest zipline in Europe and gives you the chance to zoom across mountains, cliffs and lakes head-first at speeds of up to 100mph.

Once you're back on terra firma, you can enjoy a drink at one of Bethesda's many pubs and cafes, wander around scores of listed buildings or get ideas for more activities at the interactive gateway visitor centre.
