With one part of the White House Beach Club Campsite adjacent to the beach and the other enclosed by attractive willow trees and shrubs, there's a pitch to suit all tastes at this location. In early summer the foreshore is a riot of colour with wild flowers, including the rare Yellow Poppy. Although Kessingland beach is shingle, Lowestoft is within easy reach from the caravan site and has a beautiful sandy beach complete with the lifeguard safety. The Sailors Home pub in Kessingland comes recommended and is dog friendly.

Recently voted best large attraction in the area, Africa Alive is just a short distance from White House Beach Club Campsite and offers a great safari park attraction for the family. Nearby charming Southwold has recently become a landmark for being the setting for the movie adaptation, "Iris", starring Kate Winslet and Dame Judy Dench. The caravan park is also just a few miles away from the Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park, which guarantees a fun day out for children. Other not-to-be-missed excursions include taking a day boat on The Broads and going fishing or bird watching at Minismere. More nearby places to visit include the picturesque Framlingham Castle and the National Trust owned site of Horsey Windpump.

Great site and friendly wardens

White House Beach Club Campsite
We received a warm welcome and clear site instructions on arrival, The site is nicely landscaped and well maintained to help create a peaceful atmosphere, My only criticism of the site is that the sub-structure of the pitches needs upgrading. We found it difficult to keep pegs in the pitch during strong winds because the sub-structure was so loose and damp due to poor drainage. The facilities also need upgrading but they were always spotlessly maintained during our stay. The location close to the sea and extensive beach is a real bonus. It is a great site for dogs. Southwold is not far away with interesting shops and the excellent Adnams Brewery where a good lunch is available and the opportunity to tour the brewery. The Sailors Rest, which is adjacent to the site, is excellent with good food. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay despite the strong wind and rain.

Coloured pegs ,

White House Beach Club Campsite
Great site, getting a bit tied, but been going for years, great for walkers too, would recommend the waterfront for great meals, book early tho, one thing that puzzles me is ,parking in between the pegs you have 2 pegs that you park with your van reverse or drive between the 2 ,simple really but on the last visit 3 vans on the front beach side ,just don't know how to park ,the posts are brightly colourd, they are not there for decoration ,but for a fire risk prevention ,if one can catches alight the distance is a good pretection of other vans catching alight, so come on members park right ,cos wardens will move you weather you are set up or not, rant over, happy holls to all.inky.

What a location if you like being near the sea!

White House Beach Club Campsite
We were lucky enough to get a front row pitch overlooking the beach. Just the perfect spot for me, an unspoilt and wild beach (it was November after all) and rough seas to look out on and when the rain ceased beautiful walks on the beach for the dog and ourselves. Pakefield is a short drive away where you can park for free and walk along a fantastic prom with a sandy beach with plenty of places to stop for a cuppa. Our welcome was very warm from the wardens and the facilites were as you'd hope for a club site. We've been in the summer and stayed on the other side of the site and this was our first time on the beach side. Both sides have their advantages but I just loved the view of the sea this time (no awnings on the beach side).

Great stay as always

White House Beach Club Campsite
Once again, the site Head Wardens Helen and Neil went out of their way to ensure that we had a really enjoyable few weeks on site. As always, they were exceptionally friendly and full of relevant helpful information. It’s just like meeting up with old friend with these two. We are totally gutted that they will not be on site next year and their replacements will certainly have big shoes to fill. The site was as always very well maintained, as were the pitches, with the facilities kept clean and tidy at all times. We wish Helen and Neil well for next year and hope they return in the future.
