One of a kind!

07/09/2024 we stayed in our motorhome for 9 nights. Exceptionally manicured site, even a play area and field for children to play on. Everything in its place and SPOTLESS! EHU and water by your pitch, wonderful! Waste management impeccable and I agree with a previous review that it would be nice to have an information station of sorts especially for people like us who like to explore on foot and bike. otherwise could not have wanted anymore. We also towed and was thankful as the weather throughout our stay was dreadful for most of it, exceptionally strong winds and lots of rain. We did not let it deter us though and visited nearly every part of Anglesey. The area was fascinating with masses of sites to explore; the Copper mine nearby being one of them that was easily reached on foot but be mindful as the cars do zoom past if on the road route, but not that busy during our hike. One for the top of your list if staying on Anglesey.

Excellent, Well-maintained CL

Capel Bach must rate as one of the best CLs on the system! It is exceptionally well-maintained, spacious and very organised. The pitches are large, grass, and with good views, though I think Pitch 5 has probably the best view, so I struck lucky! Each pitch has EHU, water and a drain. There are 3 or 4 interconnecting fields, well-mown (grass collected too), for dog walking (on a lead) or for children to play in, each field with either hedges and/or new farm fences. Emails are sent in advance with a property plan and travel details, and with the pitch number so you can just set-up when you arrive. It is only about 15-20 minutes to the glorious Lligwy beach, which is perfect for families, and especially for dogs. My only minor criticisms are that the grass was all very squelchy (but we have had a very wet summer), and there were slightly muddy tracks across the grass where various cars/motorhomes etc had been driven. Also, it would be nice to get more info on very local walks (for dogs), sites to explore, or restaurants etc. Perhaps a small information kiosk will be on the agenda for future. Overall, a really, really excellent CL and one of the best that I have been to - there is just a huge sense of space, peace and nature, and all so well-maintained. Thank you to the owners.

Fantastic Site

We stayed at Capel Bach for 9 nights in mid August. The pre arrival information was excellent with several emails in the run up to our stay which contained all the information we needed including our pitch number, facilities etc. The site itself is fantastic and immaculately kept by Glyn and his team and the surrounding fields for dog walking and containing the play area are excellent. The site itself is quiet with lovely views, including the nearby reservoir and the town of Amlwch is only a short drive away. Glyn and Lliwen were incredibly helpful during our stay and are on hand if needed but otherwise leave their guests to enjoy the site. We will definitely return to Capel Bach.

Superb CL

This is one of the best CLs we have stayed on in over 40 years of membership. All facilities spotless, grounds well cared for and beautifully located. We’ll be back!

First visit to Angelsey & Capel Bach, we will be back.

We have just returned from this immaculate well kept site, it is fully serviced & the best WiFi we have ever had on a site. Peace & quite, no road noise very relaxing. Dog walk excellent through the adjoining fields. We stayed on pitch 5 which we loved & it was very private being the last pitch although it was slightly sloping so needed blocks to level. Well positioned for seeing all of Angelsey & North Wales. It’s a credit to the owners & we loved it & hope to return one day. Definatly recommend, great value for money.

Beautiful

Booked spontaneously for the Bank Holiday weekend. The weather was very kind in the end. Fabulous views, great dog walk for first and last thing, grass cuttings taken up, great TV signal, best WIFI we've had so far, good phone signal, site is slightly sloping. Good coastal walk and great wood fired pizza from the car park at Cemaes Bay, great woodland and beach walk from Niwbwrch on Treath Llanddwyn to Goleudy Twr Bach, Goleudy Twr Mawr and Eglwys Santes Dwynwen - dogs can go on the beach as long as on lead, signs are a bit confusing. Red Wharf Bay has the first Land Rover buried in the sand, you can't see it of course though! Give it a try.

very peaceful

The site is an immaculate CLsite with the bonus of having a toilet. The views and peaceful site is fantastic with almost no traffic noise. We stayed for 4 nights in our camper and found it perfect we even saw a red squirrel when we were cycling out about. The owners Glyn And Lliwen are really helpful and friendly. They keep you informed and welcome prior to arrival via text with clear instructions. The site is perfect for cycling on very quiet lanes with some places of interest within easy reach. Also Parys Mountain is a 25. minute walk away and is definitely worth a visit.

Immaculate

I stayed here for 4 nights with my 3 children and dog in our trailer tent. The children absolutely loved this site and made full use of the brilliant play area, they loved the visits from the playful little cat whilst playing too. The site is immaculate, it’s apparent that lots of work and effort goes into keeping this site well maintained with beautiful flowers everywhere. The fully serviced pitches and WiFi were a bonus and toilet is a useful addition and kept very clean The views and sunsets are stunning. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get there and It was well worth the drive, we hope to return one day. Very peaceful and a great base to explore Anglesey (by car). Highly recommend.

Beautifully presented site

Absolutely beautifully presented site. Immaculate entrance and very welcoming. Very well looked after. We booked last minute and it was very easy to do online. Received automated confirmation and several emails in the run up. The site was lovely with a brilliant dog walking area and childrens play area (one of the best we have seen on any site) this was not something we expected on a CL. Views were great. It is out of the way in a village with a small, well stocked shop within walking distance. So if you want peace and quiet then this is the site for you. Beaches were within 10 minutes and larger shops not much further. The site was very easily accessible with a twin axle van. I rang to ask a couple of questions prior to arrival which were responded to by text message the following day which was great. All in all a lovely stay and a recommended site

Central for exploring Anglesey.

A great site to explore the whole of Anglesey. Water, electric and Wi-Fi all available on each pitch. Great facilities for walking the dog (fields on site). Our only drawback was the weather: very wet and windy, but this is obviously beyond the control of the owners. Owners were friendly, and very helpful if needed.
