Ease of arrival/welcome

Could not believe it the first time, so went back the second time, and now we are in the process of booking for the third visit, enough said.

What a fantastic owner. We had to contact Lynne prior to our visit as I am a disabled caravanner. Lynne was extremely helpful with our questions and went out of her way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. On our arrival we were allocated the nearest pitch to the facilities, which was a great help for us. What is even nicer is that you basically get a full service pitch for a CL pitch fee. The site is secure with a coded gate to the main property, then a short drive to the main area. The first two pitches are hard standing and the remainder are grass pitches. As we also own two small dogs, they made use of the excellent and well maintained enclosed dog walk. The site is well located to visit the coast, which we took advantage off on numerous occasions. Weymouth is worth a visit as it had good mobility access, not to mention the fish and chips, but watch out for the gulls. The site is also nicely located to some very good National Trust venues. If you enjoy some coastal and inland walks, I would recommend a visit to Durlston Castle and if you have difficulty with walking, they hire out a special off road mobility scooter at a very reasonable rate. A walk we completed on our last visit was from Studland to Old Harry, this has some spectacular coastal views along the route. There are so many interesting places within ease reach from the site that is the reason for our return visit. The local pub just up the road is also well worth a visit. We went on a Wednesday night which turned out to be bikers night, which suited me as an ex biker. But the pub, on top of it usual good menu put on pie night, these are all home cooked and extremely tasty. Then on Thursday night during the summer months, the ice cream van visits the site, my advice is go for the small offering as the ice cream amount is huge. The site itself has its own toilet and washing facilities which are always kept spotless and plus at a nominal cost the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer, again spotlessly clean. All in all the site is fantastic, and that is based on forty years of caravanning. Lynne is so pleasant and helpful, and will try her best to answer all questions and quires and offer suggestion on places to visit, so Lynne thank you so much.
