Lovely site

Just back from a lovely one night stay on this site. Very well kept , lovely owner and an easy 10 minute bike ride to the centre of Blakeney . Really lovely site.

Disappointed

A lovely site but been warned!!! Pitch four smells awful especially when hot, its right by the chemical waste the smell was terrible almost gagging, we were also charged more than the price agreed when booking. An email was sent to the owner in August and they never replied 😒 shame as it is a great site otherwise..

Watch out - hidden costs

The site is well kept. There was see views, however not accessible from our caravan. The chemical toilet area had no tap directly over the sluice, so cleaning chemical toilet was awkward. We had a smell coming from the vent pipe directly behind the sluice. We were asked to pay £20 deposit for our 4 night stay, which we sent by cheque ( not £10 as recorded on the website). The owner arrived to great us and explained that we had to pay an extra £10 per night for our daughter and two grandchildren. We ended up paying £25 per night. This is extortionate. If we had known we could have booked a serviced site with showers and toilet facilities for this amount. During our stay we were kept awake every night by people partying in the large residential house throughout the night and early hours. The owner told us to go round and complain to them if we didnt like it. This my husband did at 5.30 am. The well spoken young adults (possibly of Oxford/Cambridge stock) were very sympathetic, and apologetic, however they continued to party next night. We would never go back to this site. We have experienced numerous sites that are better than this throughout our years of caravaning.

Star gazers paradise

This site is well maintained and has an easy access which is shared with the adjacent campsite. The campsite has washing and toilet facilities which caravan owners are not allowed to use and we think as they are so close that perhaps an arrangement could be made for the future. It is close to Blakeney but It isn't advisable to walk on the narrow road, however it is well situated for visiting the Norfolk coastline. At night the sky has no light pollution so it is brilliant for star gazing and in the day the view is lovely.

Excellent - we shall return

This is a perfect CL for those needing just the basic facilities and a quiet, costal location. The owner gives clear instructions for pitching before arrival and is totally unintrusive. The site is superbly located for Blakeney and the seal sand banks/ crabbing activities that our children enjoyed a great deal. The site is well placed for Wells, Sheringham and Cromer, as well as inland places of interest. Despite the tent area in the next field, the site is quiet and very well maintained. We will definitely be returning, especially given the hugely enticing price.

Perfect Retreet

I have just returned from five days on this beautiful tranquil site. It is a hidden gem on the North Norfolk coast within easy travelling of the local points of interest. Highly recommended if you are looing for a quiet place to stay.

Nice site handy for Blakeney

This is a nice site it is next to the road but as there was not much traffic it was not a problem to us, our visit was in September so it may be a bit busier in the summer. The site is only a mile from Blakeney so is in walking distance to a number of nice pubs and shops. Do not be tempted to use the facilities in the camping field as they are owned by a different person, and she bites! The only small gripe I have is that the toilet & waste water disposal is very close to pitch 4, in my opinion it should be screened better and pitches 1-4 should be better spaced to keep pitch 4 away from it. I had to pitch too close to pitch 3 to avoid my awning being splashed when others were washing out their toilets, luckily this did not cause any arguments but it easily could have.

Very pleasant site

This was a very nice site. Nobody bothered us, just a quick visit from the owner too collect the money and say hello. The site was well kept although the waste water disposal could be better. There is some day time road noise but it did not bother us as we were out for most of the day. It is centrally located for all of the North Norfolk places of interest and a short walk from Blakeney. Would definitely visit again.

Would stay again!

Stayed here for a few days over Easter 2014.  Mrs Savory (the owner’s mother) looks after the bookings and popped round the morning after we arrived to collect the money – had a nice chat with her.  Site is easy to get to, electric hookup fine, no toilet/shower provided for CL users although there is for the adjoining tent field – this wasn’t a problem as we use our own shower/toilet.  The CL is quiet, has lovely views towards the sea and you could walk/cycle from the site into Blakeney or further if you wanted.  We would be very happy to stay here again.
