Peaceful

This is a lovely peaceful site with just the sound of the birds. It's more sloping than was suggested but we were lucky to find one of the flatter pitches right in the corner facing the gate. There is a rescue centre at the back but only small animals eg cats, rats, rabbits, Guinea pigs and reptiles so no dogs barking. The toilet was closed but we tend to use our own and the toilet waste is under a manhole cover at the bottom of the field with water but not drinking water which is at the top of the field. It's so easy to get to all the seaside towns and a biggest shopping centre we've ever seen is only about 3/4 of a mile away. No passing traffic as the lane is a died end. The only trouble we had was finding the site as the signage for the lane is covered by a hedge and the hedges along the lane to the site covers half the road and desperately needs to be cut back as it scratches the car and caravan. We only saw the owner once when he gave us paperwork about covid and for our details and for the payment.

A little gem

A great little CL, in a walled field, at the end of a road. Direct access to a footpath, great for the dog! Close to shops, cycling and drives. We had a great stay and will be back!

Perfect for a quiet break with easy access to local shopping and Margate

We stayed here 4/7/20 for 4 nights. Friendly owners who really looked after us. Covid 19 risk assessment in place with taps sanitised and hand gel available. Toilet closed but not a problems to us as have all facilities on board. Plenty of space for social distancing. Westwood cross shopping centre nearby Sainsbury’s , Mars and Spencer, Lidl for food. Access is via. Narrow road and through gate, past pet rescue centre. Handy for Margate with lovely clean sandy beach, broadstairs, Ramsgate, Whitstable, Herne Bay. easy reach Grass kept cut short. Will definitely come again

Perfect little spot

We have family living at Westwood Cross and this is an ideal location for us. We love being on small, isolated/quiet sites and this is one of them. Not having a shower block is not an issue for us - toilets do the job and with EHU and Elsan. We will definitely be back.

Couldn't Be Better Value and Toilet is Fine

Spent 10 days on this site with our friends in their unit during Broadstairs Folk Week, and what a fantastic find, end of a lane so no passing traffic, very quiet, only 5 units and all very pleasant characters. Check in could not be easier, relaxed about when you pay. Not chased off. Pitches very well drained and 2 water taps and 16 amps supply. Plenty of space so no van "on top" of another . No Owner / warden constantly on pitch checking up so very relaxed atmosphere. No showers, but there is a very acceptable toilet / wash room . And all for £10 per night. Easy commute to Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs, all about 3 miles. Westwood Cross shopping centre about 1/2 mile with all the restaurants you could ask for. Excellent site, highly recommended. Booked for next year already, cant wait. Thanks Rex, great little site.

Toilet facilities leave very much to be desired

Toilet facilities are very close to disgusting. Not clean although there is hot water & soap for hand washing. A case of a 'quick in & out'. Barely serve the purpose.

Weekend stay.

Just back today from a long weekend staying at Lydden Farm. Had a fabulous time there with no issues about the site. A real gem for us. Clean any tidy site, toilet was clean, site had plenty of space. Plenty of dog walks around this site with 2.5 mile walk to the beech. Be mindful how you approach this site from along Manston rd. It is single lane in parts from Manston airfield. Recommend coming in from west cross end on Manston rd. Thankyou for a lovely weekend Mr & Mrs Goodban. 5*****. Ian Putman.

Very quiet site

small site very quiet, close to Margate, Ramsgate. Not a bad site in any way only problem was over the 2 weeks stay the campsite lost electric 3 times, 2 of these being very short span of time the third being for 6 hours, seems the trip switch may be up at the site owners house giving campers no access to re-tripping when owners are out for the evening.

A very welcoming site

We have visited this site twice now over the last couple of years. I find emailing Mr Goodban with my dates to visit so easy, even months in advance. The site is easy to find and access, then i pop down to his house to settle up plus let him know we have arrived. While we were there we visited Broadstairs town and their new swimming pool., also next door Ramsgate another lovely town. Of course there is also Margate to visit, all these places are only minutes away by car. There is a large shopping area at the bottom of the road, and a pub which does great meals. So in both visits we stayed for four days at a time, and we found so much to see and do. Thank you Mr Goodban.

Quiet CL

A brilliant CL with minimal facilities. Shopping centre with free parking a mile away with frequent buses to all of NE Kent.
