My wife and I had the pleasure of staying four nights in what we can only describe as a country garden site at the rear of Metcalfe House, a charming West Country house full of character, just like the owner and his staff who manage the ‘garden’ with affection and care. Beautiful shrubs and plants abound and the whole immaculately kept site makes for a wonderfully relaxed stay with a lovely old fashioned pub and many many country walks right on the doorstep. Only a short drive from Glastonbury and lots of wildlife reserves to discover. There is a bus stop only yards from the site entrance. Only downside, is the rather busy road but there is minimal noise actually in the ‘garden’ and it certainly was not a problem at all to us and would not deter us from returning.
