Beautiful views, excellent facilities and great wifi!

The views from the CL site are amazing - 360 degrees with views of Snowdon. Our advice would be to listen to John's advice about where to pitch, as he knows the winds and sun direction - I think we were all amazed that our air awning survived the battering, as when it blows, boy does it blow! We recommend storm straps on each corner when it's windy to stop the rocking. The showers and loos were very clean, although we mainly use our own, and there was also a wash-up sink, freezer and fridge, washing machine (20 min wash for £1 was excellent). There was a games room, ideal for youngsters, with a few books and magazines and a TV. I work from home in the van, so this was my husbands bolt hole, watching TV whilst the washing washed! If you also work when travelling, the free wifi was excellent with only a couple of times when I had to tether to my phone. There is another field behind the CL site but it was never full whilst we were there and there were, but if full it could detract from the peace of the CL site. We managed to see and hear Tawny and Little Owls (on the end of the barn roof at night) There is a lovely walk around the nearby reservoir in Cefni forest down the road, Beaumaris Gaol and Courthouse are excellent, and the Anglesey Motor Museum is great for a rainy day. Go to Port Eilian lighthouse to see the porpoises, seals at South Stack (puffins in the summer) and beautiful Bangor Pier. We had several trips on the Welsh Highland Railway, which was excellent, and went halfway on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, but I'd leave that one until it goes to the top once again and avoid school holidays! If you like churches, St Cwyfans and Tal-y-Lyn are small but so beautiful. We don't eat out much, but the Kinmel Arms was great on both occasions and has good disabled access if needed. A lovely 3 weeks on a lovely site with panoramic views!
