Peace in the South Downs
This is a very pleasant, well maintained CL, just at the foot of the South Downs.
The site stretches away from a minor road, which has minimal traffic. A railway line runs past the far end of the site, but the noise from trains was not noticeable. The most noise was made by the local Song Thrush, together with Peregrine Falcons nesting in a disused quarry not far away. There are good footpaths from the site, both up onto the ridge of the Downs and also across to the River Arun.
