We visited Old Bridge End CL site in August 2023, with two of our granddaughters age 12 and 16 in our touring caravan. Christine came to welcome us with a gift of eggs from her hens, very kind greeting. We had fun siting our van, had to use the motor mover to get it level as our front wheel drive tow car could not get a grip, 4 wheel drive would be better! We had some very wet weather and the pitch got a little muddy, nothing we could not manage, sorry for the damage to the grass! We visited Beamish Museum (twice), Diggerland (we all loved it), Went to Broom House Farm, the steak and sausages are fantastic, the girls loved the woodland adventure park. We caught the park & ride to Durham (free for bus pass holders and under 16s). There is a little zoo at the garden centre, about 4 miles from the site, well worth a visit. Lots of things to do, the local Morrisons provides essentials and Aldi/Lidl are only 3 miles away. We had a great holiday, thanks to Tony & Christine, a lovely site well worth a visit.
