Fabulous site

What a lovely place to stay .Gareth was most welcoming and showed us where everything was. The shower and laundry block were spotlessly clean. There was plenty space and good mobile signal. It was a short walk and down a rocky path onto a stony beach with very few people on it we swam twice a day. There are fantastic walks as the campsite is on the coastal path so something for everyone. We will be back next year thank you.

Peaceful and beautiful

We stayed at Pant Gwyn the week before the half-term at the end of May 2021 and enjoyed a really peaceful stay. The weather wasn't perfect all week and they'd had a lot of rain before we arrived so the field was pretty wet in places. Unfortunately, my husband managed to get our motorhome stuck in the mud but our host, Gareth, was very understanding and kind about it and although we pitched where we got stuck, he towed us out at the end of our stay with a smile. The site has glorious 360 degree views and we loved watching the sun set over the sea in the evenings. It's a field away from the Coastal Path for beautiful walks. We walked up to the Ty Coch Inn on the beach (about 4.5 miles) on one gloriously sunny day - a highly recommended outing. We ate well at the pub in Tudweiliog a couple of times and got great service in the village shop/Post Office which sells most things that you might want or need. It's great cycling country - quiet, pretty country lanes with very little traffic and we cycled easily to both Abersoch and Aberdaron easily. The showers, toilets and laundry room on site are very clean. The farm is at the end of a no-through road so there's no passing traffic. Although it was very quiet when we were there, the way units were arriving on the day we left and from what Gareth said, it's very popular during school holidays. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Excellent views and large field

Accommodated us with only 24 hours notice. Large field slightly sloping but told we could park anywhere. Only about five of us here. Easy access across field to coastal path with stunning views and access to an isolated beach although stoney and seeweed. Very quiet with EHU and water.

Campervan visit September 2019

An extremely friendly welcome and we were given a choice of pitches in the large field to the left of the entrance road. The field on the right now appears to no longer be the CL. EHU was mostly 10amp and there was an additional water point at the bottom (seaward) side of the field. Pitches all firm grass and reasonably flat but we did use levellers. Facilities appeared well cared for but we did not use them. 20 minute walk back along road to Tudweiliog (although there is a longer way round via the Coast Path) where there is a village shop for essentials and a bus stop for the Coastal Bus. A few minutes walk across the neighbouring field leads to the coastal path.

So much space, and those views....

Fabulous site, with oodles of space and fabulous views. Boys perfectly happy racing round the field, playing with other children, exploring parts of the farm (lots of calves when we were there), and getting the water (we train them young!!!!!). Showers available to the other fields as well, so often a queue, so used the caravan shower on occasion (easier when you have children to get the water!!!!!). Highly recommend, not least for the views, ease of access to Tudweiliog and Nefyn, and the fab beaches in the area

Beautiful, Peaceful Site to Which We Return Time and Again

We have been going to Pant Gwyn for several years now and absolutely love the place. The owners, Gareth and Mary, are friendly, helpful and laid back, leaving you to get on with the business of enjoying your break. There is an immaculate shower/loo block which we do use on occasion but generally we use our van's facilities. I have to be honest and say that I've never noticed queues for these, as mentioned in another review and from what I've seen, the seasonal pitches are rarely in full use, as it were. Guests are generally put in one of two fields either side of the track with seasonal pitches in the field ahead. We prefer the left hand field with magnificent views over the sea. The sunsets are magical. It's easy to walk across one field to reach the Wales Coastal Path, with access to the gorgeous beaches. Even in the height of summer they rarely have anyone else on there and you can enjoy complete peace and quiet for a few hours. It can get windy on the site, as it's subject to cross winds over the peninsula, so we tend to pitch near the hedge. Gareth is always very welcoming and informative when we and the children have gone to investigate what the farm animals are up to as well - it's interesting staying on a working farm! All in all, we highly recommend Pant Gwyn. The only trouble is, it's such a gem, we almost don't want anyone else to know about it!

Good location for the Llyn peninsula

Easy to find but much larger site than I expected. Basically a large field with several hook ups some distance from shower and toilet facilities which were very clean. A charge of 50p for several minutes showering is a bit hard to swallow after paying £15 for the night! Water and chemical waste point shared by two other fields with caravans and a short distance away from pitch.

Wonderful CL

The views of hills and countryside are amazing. The welcome was lovely and very friendly and throughout our stay.  The CL field is large and flat and with a maximum of 5 vans on, is never crowded. The reason Birdyk commented on 20+units is because the showers/toilets are shared with about a dozen "permanently located tourers" in an adjacent field but the CL field itself is for 5 vans. Toilets are immaculate and if you don't want to queue (which was never a problem whilst we were there as only two of the "permanent tourers" were occupied) get up early and enjoy the wonderful peaceful quiet mornings or shower anytime during the day...you're on holiday! Thank you Gareth & Mary...we will definitely be back :-)

Lovely site in lovely position

This was a lovely peaceful site perfect for us and very dog friendly, stunning position, coast path one field away which you could run your dogs in, and then down to a beach (bit of a scramble) but hardly any one on it in August. Only downside were the facilities, there are 2 lovely modern toilets and showers, but the toilets were in with the showers so if 2 people were showering there were no toilets available and there was a constant queue. As there were at least 20+ units on the site when we were there this was not ideal. All they would have to do is separate the toilets from the showers and the problem would be solved, as the rooms were huge. The friendly owner made up for this though so would definitely go there again.
