A pleasant site

Recently spent 4 nights here. 5 grass pitches, with hard standing on the entrance road next to the pitch if necessary. The pitches are largely level, separated by small trees and bushes. Electricity & water to each pitch. Grey water in the hedge. (we are in a PVC, so just run a pipe from drain valve into hedge and leave open whilst on the pitch) Pitches were dry and firm even after a serious thunder storm. From the look of the ground, it could be soft in long term bad weather. On booking you get a code for the padlock on the gate, so you can enter the site on arrival and get set up - choose your pitch from those vacant. Karen came and saw us later to make sure all was well. I did pay her then, because we had the correct money - if not there is an honesty box system. There is a large grass area (mowed) in front of the pitches, and the field is hedged - so open outlook, but no views. Yes there is some road noise, it is the road into the village. It didnt disturb us, even when sitting outside, and certainly not at night. In fact I had better nights than I often do when away in the van. We had a very pleasant break, and would use the site again if in the area.
