Clean and good location.

I contacted Ali on a v windy day looking for a sheltered place to spend the night. Ali was so helpful and came to check i was settled in ok and recommended the sheltered spot on the site-and it was! It was over the far side next to the hedge and it did not feel overlooked. I was here in January so it was a busy as the height of summer. By dusk the passers by had stopped which left it quiet, It’s a beautiful spot and I agree with other comments it does feel quite open and overlooked. However if you are looking for a clean and and spacious site to make as your base whilst you spend time exploring this is an ideal spot. I saw seals in 10 mins walk from my van down on the beach. Nature conservation is a top priority as the beach is cordoned off to give the seals the space they need. StAbbs has cafes, PO with cash machine-check local opening times, rib boat tours and a museum. And it’s a old fishing village with masses of history about it all. Coldingham is v close with more amenities-a well stocked spar but cash machine that charges withdrawals, pubs etc…. From the campsite you can head north up the coastline or south down to Eyemouth right from your van door. I will be back to make it a base for one or two nights and spend my time walking during the day and a quiet place to chill in the evening. In the summer time on a clear evening the cliffs would be a beautiful walk.
