Superb Site

This is what a certificated site is all about. Simple set up, beautifully maintained, oodles of room, peaceful setting, good surroundings, friendly owner. What more could you want. More power to their elbow!

Lovely site

This site is very well maintained, and in a lovely location. Although we only used it for a night stop on our way home to Norfolk, we wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

Wonderful people! Beautiful location!

We could not be more complimentary about this site- we recently had a medical emergency and these lovely people came to our rescue, looked after our motorhome, made sure it was safe and even offered to go and fetch our stuff for us from the accident site! the CL itself is beautiful, the grass is beautifully kept and the welcome is warm and helpful. We had not realised what a lovely rural area this part of Lincolnshire was. I very much hope we can go back for a visit under better circumstances. A million thank yous for all your kindnesses to the owners- you are good people.

Lovely Stay

We arrived on site and was met by the owner who was very helpful and friendly.  The site is beautifully kept and overlooks farm land.  There is a footpath opposite for walking the dog and a trout lake adjacent to the site.  Great location for visiting the beautiful city of Lincoln and the Show Ground, if there is anything on.  Do visit the Dam Busters Inn in Scampton, so very interesting but do book if you go for dinner. Really enjoyed our stay.

Shhh - don't want too many people to find out about this one!

This is a little gem of a site. It has all the things I expect from a CL - its well maintained, nicely presented, has easy access, its flat and level, offering plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere. All in all a good place to restore your sanity. The owners are friendly, welcoming and helpful, they even offered to deliver us a Sunday newspaper. Then as a bonus, less than 500yards away from the entrance is a well stocked trout pond, with good disabled access (day tickets available). Within a short driving distance is a farm shop, garden centre with a tea room and the town of Gainsborough, with its historical Old Hall and upmarket Marshalls Yard for shopping. Something for me, something for her!!! So in short a real winner, giving me every reason to return.

Excellent weekend

Excellent site, level pitches immaculately kept facilities. The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. This site is a must for the caravaner who is also interested in fly fishing. The fishing facilities are first class with male and female toilets on site, bailiff in attendance (very knowledgeable and helpful). Well worth a visit for a relaxing weekend. Reviewed by Ian/Yvonne

What a lovely Site

I fully agree with all the comments of the previous reviews. This is my idea of the perfect CL site. The area is not one I have any real knowledge of but was really surprised how nice it is. All the surrounding villages are great and thriving. Traditional Pubs, plenty of village shops, even numerous takeaways within a few minutes drive. The site itself is set in open countryside and is extremely peaceful. We had a lovely day visiting Gainsborough, Scunthorpe and Lincoln are within easy reach. The fly fishing lake two minutes walk from the site is really nice and very well stocked. And I found all the anglers along with the bailiff to be a very friendly bunch. The site has good 16 amp hook up points recently installed. Lovely and level no need for hard ground pegs or levelling blocks. The owners I found to very welcoming and willing to give advice regarding the local area etc. Great CL

Welcome to the chill zone!

What a lovely site! Don't be put off by the fact there is no electric. We spent two nights at Stone Cottage 'chilling', chatting and reading - heaven! The grass is well cared for, the bins and chemical disposal excellent, the owners are friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are public footpaths leading away from the site and a trout fishing lake less that 2 minutes walk from the gate.

The owners are hoping to amend the Club Handbook to show that they are able to charge your caravan battery should you need it.

One of the nicest CL's we've used.

We had the pleasure of staying on this lovely CL for three nights, the site is almost bowling green flat and the grass is cut so short we didn't bother with a ground sheet in the awning. The whole place is kept very neat and tidy, the chemical disposal area is the best I've used, very well made and designed. The owners are very helpful and the welcome on site was first class. They even deliver your Sunday papers, you simply place your order on Saturday and your papers arrive just in time for breakfast, wonderful service. Will we go back!! Too right we will. Thank you.
