No frills - great atmosphere!

If you want to be in the wilds of Herefordshire, on a no-frills CL - then this site is wonderful! It's like going back in time to 'Heartbeat', or even the 1950s. What's on offer is a rough field at the back of a 'pub' - and a loo, and the lovely lady and her mother who keep various animals like sheep, cats, ducks and hens. The Swan only sells bottled beer and cider - but there is a wide choice. You have to be sociable too, as there's really just one table in the middle of the small bar - and you'll have to sit at it, as the locals insist! On cold days the open fire is burning. We've been twice - and we love it, even though there's about two miles of single track road from Kington - which is a small town full of character. Great walks too, including Hergest Ridge - Mike Oldfield used to live nearby, hence the album. On top of all that, this is one of the cheapest CLs around.
