Stayed here for 10 day in May 2024, easy to find, lovely welcome, shown to a fairly level hardstanding banked by a nice edge, very quite and peaceful. Grass cut short with no cuttings left behind. Waste disposal and water nearby, site fairly empty most of the time, even on the Bank holiday. 2 WC and showers spotless, shower cubicle a little small with wet shower curtain touching if one moved about, £1 for 15 minutes. Free range eggs 6 for a £1, we loved. The dog walking was only a couple hundred yard farm track, with dogs tobe kept on the lead, able to walk across the path on the golf course, but did get some funny looks !
All in all one of the best CL sites of the 7 we have been on. Highly recommended.
oct 2023 visit
We (husband/wife and springer spaniel) stayed 3 nights and loved this site. Easy access and spacious cl with electical hook up/wifi/and excellent toilet facilities . definitely high on our list of great cl's - our thanks to owners who made us welcome
A very good sight.
The accessibility and facilities were very good. We had a relaxing two weeks which was slightly marred by the over officious owner.
Awesome Site
We loved this site. We went for a quick - five day - visit in August and found it suited us perfectly.
The facilities are excellent - the welcome was warm and efficient, toilets, showers and washing up area were always clean, surroundings were delightful. Wi-fi was real bonus. We didn;t need the laundry facilities, but it was good to know they were available if needed.
We went largely for downtime, but there is lots within a short drive of this site.
The presence of farm animals was a real bonus - chickens (who provided free range eggs for sale), goats, pigs and sheep, as well as a visiting deer - all friendly and delightful.
West Farm CXL will definitely be a regular bolt-hole for us going forwards.
a little gem of a site
little gem of a site, boxed grass, spotless toilet ,shower, kitchen and laundry.very helpful hosts, great location.price includes 8amps of electric ,and pay for any over that,2 of us and we didn't use it all, might be different if we had to use heater..showers were £1 for plenty of water.would certainly come again.
What a Gem.
Had a wonderful welcome from Penny, who even came out in the rain to show us the facilities and guide us to our pitch. The facilities were excellent. 2 loos, shower, washing up area, laundry and drying doom, all in heated blocks and we're spotless. Hardstanding pitch was level with hook up and water close by. We will be back and would highly recommend.

The perfect site to relax and enjoy nature
The perfect site to relax and enjoy nature. From my arrival to departure both Mr & Mrs Froud made me very welcome, nothing seemed too much, I was met on arrival, greeted to the farm and shown where to take the van. This CL has all the facilities that you require plus a few extras. I was made very welcome and generally had a conversation with the farm workers as they went about their business.
This site is very much within the working farm, the animals being very much around you but not that close to be a problem. You are welcome to wander around and meet the goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and even Polo the pig. Wildlife is in abundance too, birdlife of all varieties, very friendly pheasants to the robins and sparrows that took the trouble to pop their heads through the door to say hello.
There is a short walk around the farm lake, this is an absolute must, take your camera, the atmosphere changes with the weather, early evening visits are a must. Canada Geese on the water, the occasional deer and hares in the neighbouring fields with rabbits dashing across the path as you walk.
There is everything you could wish for including the fresh chicken eggs, these are not to missed.
Would highly recommend
We have just come back from a 7 night break away and what a lovely break it was. We had a lovely welcome and shown all the facilities which I must say was very good( we did use them). The site it self was clean, tidy and very peaceful. Our dog loved the pigs and duck he pulled us to the pig every morning. We had an amazing view of the sheep and there lambs it was so relaxing. The golf course was huge not that we played it but it is a public foot path and lovely walk. There are many walks from the site and could highly recommend them. We went to the Albion pub which was very nice and they make you feel very welcome which was great. We were very lucky as only adults on the site when we stayed, would love it to be an adult only site. All I can say is lovely, quiet and would highly recommend going to west farm we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay great

First Visit
This was our first visit to this CL site. It was easy to find and readily accessible. The owners were welcoming and gave a very good site tour before set up. Excellent facilities which were clean and tidy throughout. Plenty of useful information for places of interest. Good walks straight from site, including a local golf course. 5 minute walk to the local Albion Inn; likewise very warm and friendly with a good menu and warm log fire. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend here and it will be a site that we would like to return to.

A cracker of a CL
We stayed over a long weekend to attend a family gathering in Verwood. It's a cracker of a CL, peaceful and all you need as far as electrics, free wi-fi, shower, toilets and laundry are concerned. This combined with the availability of fresh farm eggs made it a perfect choice. Also on site are some very comfortable holiday cottages, which some of our party rented. These proved to be excellent value. A pub, the Albion, a short distance along the road serves food but if you go there after dark the advice in another review, regarding hi-vis and torches, is well worth heeding. The section of road without pavement is quite short but is on a narrow bridge. All in all top site and we will visit again.
