Just returned from a 2 night stay (1st Sept 18). Great site for access to Bristol, where you can walk almost everywhere (especially with a dog). Lots going on the waterfront, so do not expect piece and quiet. try the Spitfire BBQ restaurant on the Quayside, great BBQ ribs. Pub right next door. There is talk that the council who own the site want to reclaim the land for housing as it is in a prime location. The club needs to fight this as it very rare to find a site so convenient to the tourist attractions of Bristol (or any city in the UK) especially for motorhomer's who like to walk into town. The popularity of this site pays testimony to what people want from the club.
