Helpful and Friendly staff

The Site manager, Ellie. was very helpful when I had to call as we had a problem with our outfit before setting off. She called me back and said that she was able to amend our booking (for a charge - fair enough it was on the day) so we didn't have to shorten our stay. When we arrived on Thursday it was quiet. There were lots of pitches to choose from. Come Friday there was a huge influx of motorhomes with a few caravans and the site became full for the weekend. However it still remained quiet and peaceful. We very much like that the site layout isn't in rows. There are curves and areas off the main ring. Although you travel through an urban area to get there the site is on the edge of the countryside. There are walks from the site along the river and further afield. You can also walk into Bury to visit the famous market. Watching the steam and diesel locomotives with their carriages chug by brought back chikdhood memories. Have to have a ride on the train when we come back. The friendly, helpful team are one of the reasons to return to the site.
