Recommended Site.

We just spent 4 nights at this site during school holidays. as always we look at the reviews before booking any club site, and I must say the reviews do not do this site the recognition it deserves. upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and friendly welcome, we were advised to walk the site to choose a pitch as most roads are dead ends. this is for your benefit as turning will be difficult should you not like those specific pitches. normally i always use my own shower in the motorhome! but I must say the cleanliness and conditions of the showers and facilities were amazing, so much so that for the first time in 2 years I did prefer using the site showers, as did my wife. they are always locked and you are given keys for both Male and female. the staff are so friendly, I damaged the grass when reversing my van into position, I did go and inform the staff and their response was amazing. "dont worry sir, it will grow back. dont threat" the site is very well looked after, and even in February the grass was perfect. except for my tire Mark's!!! it is a short walk to the town and a 3 mile hike to Dunster castle, I would recommend using the back rd, it's more up and down but the views are incredible. also if you can, try Porlock and Porlock weir. these are amazing places. the pubs are amazing especially the ship in Porlock weir. the SW coast walk is also nearby and amazing. if you want exmoor, a car would be advisable but there are local cabs which you can get from the office, and reasonably priced. there were families on site with kids, and I must say that we never really heard them at all. compared to some sites we've been to, it was a pleasure. would we stay here again?? yes... without fail, just this time we would maybe like the car with us to explore more.
