Beware of road noise

Based on previous excellent reviews we booked a week in September and had wonderful weather. Be warned that the site is off a roundabout on the A35 and we were closest to the road, enduring speeding motorbikes day and night. Go when it's cold and keep your windows firmly shut! The site has a swimming pool which was clean and well maintained and the overall atmosphere is not of a typical CAMC site. The static caravan holiday park is the core business of the owners. There are a number of keen club supporters who come back year after year but for me it was not value for money.

Hi, Like you we had seen good reviews and recommendations so booked a week back in May.

We booked after checking that our friends 8m plus MH would be acceptable and we’re told it was and would be on an end of row pitch.

On arrival and after a long wait, as each outfit was accompanied to their pitch, we were taken to our pitch to find it only just long enough fir our 7.3m van with our friends MH overhanging their pitch.

We were also on the very top row so not only had the vehicle noise-the worst being LGVs braking on the steep downhill to the roundabout-but also a long steep trek to the nearest facility blocks.

It showed us that despite all the good things we had read and heard you may still be disappointed.
