When arriving on site it looked a busy and very family orientated site so we were a little worried about noise levels, however the site was actually reasonably quiet.
The pitch sizes are OK considering what the pitch sizes can be in this area of Europe.
It was great to have access to the lake for swimming, whilst we didn't partake in any additional activities, the inflatable is always available for kids or adults.
One thing I would say is that the cable car ride it refers to is only available for free if you booked for three days or more, which could be made clearer.
Fantastic park
We’ve just visited here for 5 nights, staff were excellent with all their info. Free Bus service into Innsbruck regularly. George the owner, was friendly and chatted with us about his lovely Koi in the lake area. Very clean site, nice onsite shop. Fabulous lake area and the mountains in the distance were beautiful. Would return and thoroughly recommend this park.
Wonderful site
We stayed here for two nights and wish it was longer. It was by far our favourite site on a 12 day European road trip. We had a large pitch right on the banks of a lovely lake which we could launch our paddleboard straight into and the scenery around was spectacular with snow-topped mountains. My daughters (13 & 16) loved the swimming lake with inflatable obstacle course and water slide and the washing facilities in a modern block were superb (although washing machine and tumble dryer were a bit pricey). The restaurant served good food at a reasonable price and there was also a takeaway and a decent shop. We went to a waterpark (Area 47) which was about 40-minutes drive away and there are free buses into Innsbruck from the site. The area is also excellent for walking and cycling plus going up mountains. I plan to go back one day soon and stay for longer!

Easter European Tour 2023
We were making good progress through Germany - Bavaria and making our way into Austria. our original plan was to visit Innsbruck the following day. My wife used the CAMC European Caravan and Motorhome Holidays book that we keep in the Camper Van and suggested this site rather than using the Aire that we had planned to stay in. This turned out to be a good plan. We arrived 15 minuets before reception was due to shut, the lady on reception was extremely pleasant and didn't rush. She was able to explain what the site had to offer and we were told that a Bus Stop was located directly outside the site that would take us into Innsbruck and a card was handed to us to show the driver as the fare was free, the busses run through the day and will take you back to site. It's really easy and not an issue. From the bus stop we then walked through Innsbruck to the train station that will take you to the Cable Car (110 Euro for 2 adult and a Teenager) and well worth doing if staying on this site. The Site is very clean and the showers had just been cleaned at 8am, it consists of two floors. Toilets are on the lower floor and showers above. The floors are heated and everything is modern and new and in my opinion its one of the best showers I have had on a camp site. We didn't use the bar or any other faculties but looking at them they did look presentable. I would recommend this site and I will probable re-vist. Our tour from this site then took us on to Lake Garda. Ps. They also provide hot water to clean the toilet cartage, that's different!

great site
We stayed at the lake side for 3 nights in June 202 - it was lovely - plenty room. Site was busy but because of layout and excellent facilities never seemed too crowded. We enjoyed the restaurant - staff there and throughout site were very friendly, humorous and helpful. Free bus to and from Innsbruck. Great walking paths well signposted all around the site and stunning views. Disappointingly unable to use the chairlift at Mutters due to mountain bike competition. Would recommend a walk to Gotzen on the paths through the farm land from the site follow the path signposted next to the reception.
Excellent site with first class facilities in a beautiful location! Loved the experience there.
From the minute we arrived to check in until we checked out the experience here was excellent! Friendly, efficient check in, staff spoke English very well. The large modern, custom built block that includes reception, shop, breakfast room, first class sanitary facilities ( better than hotels I’ve stayed in) well equipped laundry room and dishwashing room is absolutely outstanding. We had a lake view pitch, each has own water, waste and electricity. Weather was exceptional, especially for early April, we enjoyed watching youngsters playing by and on the lake, even as it was being cleaned and prepared for the season. Good range of sport/ play equipment suitable from children, through to adult. The views were absolutely delightful, we loved watching the light/ weather changing the appearance of the snow capped mountains. There is an hourly bus (free) to Innsbruck, via the village stops literally outside the site. Ideal base for walking and cycling. Supermarket in Natters was well stocked, excellent product ranges and was a joy to shop in, staff were very helpful when we sought advice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hope to return some day.
Probably the best site we have ever stayed at in 35 of touring
All the good things written about it in other revues are true. However, the lakes are artificially created and drained and cleaned every year. They may look uninviting to those who prefer a swimming pool but it is just what the locals like and are prepared to travel to and pay for. Open water swimming is their best substitute for the sea. Water temp is around 27C. We think the best pitches are the fully serviced large pitches at the back of the site looking at the mountains. Just make sure you have got one with a clear view. Its a fantastic sight through the window in the morning ever changing throughout the day. Make good use of the bus pass.

Fantastic Campsite in great central location
The arrival (either through Natters or Mutters) has a very tight turn at one point between buildings. Also watch you sat-nav directions as these may try to take you in an even narrower route. The reception was busy but very friendly with good English spoken. Didn’t use the wifi, but the phone signal & data were good here. The campsite in August was very busy but enough room to move around. We opted for a large pitch with electricity, water & drainage which had plenty of room. A little disappointed as we were put right at the back of the site with no views other than a hedge & other caravans. The price for the pitch worked out at almost £70/night when you add-in the local tourist & green taxes, which seems quite steep. Plenty to do in the area whether on-site, Innsbruck or if you with to travel a little further. Would recommend Innsbruck centre, Bergisel ski jump, Intertux glacier, Solden.
Children will love this site
Previous reviewers have given chapter and verse on the merits of the pitches and facilities and busyness of the site.
This is a great destination for families and those who are visiting for the great outdoors and enjoy sharing pleasantries with the international crowd of campers.
The lake wipeout course, slide and SUPs kept the children (11years) happy for hours and there was an animation programme too. I was able to run out from the site into some beautiful wooded trails (not steep!)
The free welcome card also gives access to the cable car at Mutters which has a enchanting forest playground - good for younger ones) and access to the (chargeable) mountain cart downhill course which was a real highlight for adults and kids alike.
We also went to the family Tyrol music evening with dinner and were thoroughly swept away with the thigh slapping and yodelling extravaganza!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to families and active adults.
OK but would go elsewhere next time.We stayed here in June and after a bit of haggling got a pitch looking directly at the mountain range to the rear
We stayed here in June and after a bit of haggling got a pitch looking directly at the mountain range to the rear of the shower block. No complaints re the pitch, it had electricity, mains water and drainage. However the original one we were allocated nearer the lake wasn’t anything special, too cramped, as most pitches lakeside appeared to be.
Finding it en route from Lake Garda was simple but the queue at reception was (as it was most days) long and continued through most of the day. It is a very busy camp, with people coming and going however reception staff were welcoming and helpful throughout.
The two lakes, one for swimming with a variety of inflatables, canoes and a slide, looked murky and unwelcoming. No thanks !!
The lakeside restaurant looks very nice and is comfortable but the food is no better than OK and quite expensive, restaurants in Innsbruck were cheaper and better value. We also thought that some staff using their segways went far too fast regardless of the age of people using the walkways. They are an accident waiting to happen !
The toilet and shower block is simply superb, we’ve never quite seen anything like it. However the showers are on the first floor accessed by a reasonably steep slope. This might prove challenging to some. Wifi was expensive so didn’t bother.
There are footpaths direct from site into Innsbruck and to local villages. Innsbruck is a ten minute drive, parking there was easy and its worth the visit. Local supermarkets at Gotzen, a 5 minute drive, were not expensive. Diesel was the cheapest we found whilst doing our 6 week trek at 1 euro 28.
We will definitely visit Austria again but in honesty we were a bit disappointed with this camp, it didn’t seem to match up to the pre visit reviews we read. They could do with using the views they have much better, far too many trees blocked what would other wise have been fantastic mountain views.
