A piece of England in France
This site has a great location as a transit en route to the South of France, and is nicely planned with large plots and an attractive swimming pool complex. The toilets and showers are OK, not great. And there are some fantastic chateaux to see nearby. But the site is almost entirely occupied by raucous English holidaymakers, so the atmosphere is not French at all. There are three British tour operators present on the site, and the only conversations you will hear (late into the night, and everywhere in the playground, shop, bar and restaurant) are in English. Definitely not for those who actually want a French holiday. By contrast, there is a large, pleasantly located municipal campsite within 200 metres, on the banks of the beautiful Loire river, that looks like a better and much cheaper proposition for few days stay.
