We stayed a few nights here in June 2019 on a CMC booked pitch. The site is very big and has large areas given over to permanent holiday lodges, plus an 'entertainment' area [Butlins Redcoat style'], bar, disco, shop and offices, etc. As a result it felt more like a permanent holiday 'village' to us than than a [at ease with nature] motorhomers/caravanners 'touring' site. The two other sites passed on the way down the access road looked a bit less developed/more tranquil. Check in staff were very friendly, but it took an age to check in - really slow computer/admin system! Queues later on were enormous. We were also charged for our dog, even though the brochure/this site says it is free in June. It was seemingly a school holiday week when we went, so maybe they look to maximise revenue when they can? Main WC/shower block was reasonably clean, given its mass use, but draughty and with a mix of showers - some with conventional heads but no mixer tap to adjust temp, and others with mixer valves but a dribble of water coming out a simple wall spout. Not a very enjoyable experience. Touring vans were placed next to camping pitches, which meant campers noise was pervasive. I'm sure many people [with young kids?] would love this place, but for us it didn't hit the mark. If you do go and as a male you want to swim, you must have proper swim trunks - as swim shorts not allowed. A peculiar French rule? - maybe, but not always seen elsewhere on our travels. With high pitch, and unexpected dog, fees in place and less than brilliant wash facilities, we didn't feel it was good value for money and wished we had gone to the nearby 'aire' on the far edge of town instead - which we later found when out cycling in what is, undoubtedly, a beautiful area.
