The Caravan and Motorhome Club has launched a new member offer with Irish Ferries, giving members a discount of up to 20 percent on off‑peak Economy fares on Dover to Calais crossings. 

The Club offers a wide choice of European campsites close to key ports and terminals, making it easier than ever to plan smoother arrivals, shorter drive days and better‑value trips across Europe and Ireland. 

Members can secure extra savings on the popular Dover–Calais route with Irish Ferries: 

• 20 percent discount on off‑peak sailings (19:00–07:00, Tuesday to Thursday) 

• Booking window: 20 April – 11 May 2026 

• Travel period: 20 April – 2 July 2026 

• All other sailings: 10 percent off Economy fares for members 

Alongside Irish Ferries, the Club also offers member discounts with all major ferry operators and Le Shuttle, giving tourers competitive rates on the most popular routes between Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe. 

Short‑drive campsites near key crossings 

The Club’s network of European campsites includes a wide choice of sites within easy reach of Dover and other ports, ideal for short stopovers or longer holidays to explore the local area.

Near Calais: La Bien Assise (Guînes, Hauts‑de‑France) 

Just 15 km from Calais, La Bien Assise is a popular first‑night stop for touring members and an easy choice for a short holiday close to the port. Set in the grounds of a 19th‑century mansion, the site combines easy port access with a spacious, peaceful setting. Facilities include a covered swimming pool and tennis courts, alongside La Ferme Gourmande restaurant, a bar and on‑site shop. Long reception hours are designed to suit ferry arrival and departure times. 

Near IJmuiden: Camping Koningshof (Rijnsburg, South Holland) 

Located just 45 km from the ports of IJmuiden and Hook of Holland, Camping Koningshof is an excellent choice for both a convenient stopover and a longer stay. Set near the coast among colourful flower fields, the site offers spacious pitches and strong facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a supermarket, restaurant and bar. 

It’s well placed for beach days and easy city trips, with Leiden, Haarlem, The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam all within easy reach. Members can also save 10 percent on DFDS routes and Stena Line routes when booking through the Club, including the overnight DFDS Newcastle–IJmuiden sailing, which arrives close to Amsterdam and the Stena Line Harwich-Hook of Holland route arriving close to Rotterdam. 

Near Dublin and Rosslare: River Valley Caravan Park (Redcross, County Wicklow) 

Located in County Wicklow, River Valley Caravan Park is a well‑placed option for an easy arrival into Ireland, with straightforward access from both Dublin Port, around an hour away, and Rosslare, roughly 90 minutes by road. Set in a sheltered valley surrounded by countryside, the family‑run site offers spacious pitches alongside strong facilities, including modern shower blocks, walking trails and a wide choice of on‑site activities, plus a quieter adults‑only area for those after a calmer stay. It’s also a practical base for ferry travel, with members able to save 10 percent with Irish Ferries and Stena Line when booking the Holyhead–Dublin, Pembroke–Rosslare or Fishguard-Rosslare routes through the Club.
