Perfect off grid CL

Small Holding
First we love off grid CLs. And this is a perfect example, large quiet and adjacent to a lovely small country park with a small lake to walk around directly from the site. Margaret is such a nice host, not obtrusive, but helpful. We are coming to the end of ten days and wish we could stay longer. There are lots of National trust places nearby we had the site to ourselves most of the time. Whilst that suits us, it's such a shame that such a lovely site is so under used. Let your electric cable go,. You will not be disappointed

Motorhome stop over

Small Holding
Stayed here 09/05/2022 At one point we were the only ones on the site. Toilets basic but very clean, no showers but we didn’t need them. Very warm welcome, brilliant walk from the site to the woods and lake. A visit to “The Cow Shed” (milk shakes and local fresh milk) is a must!! Site pretty level, this site is a brilliant stop over point and will be using it again

Nice peacefull CL

Small Holding
We have stayed on this CL twice. A very peaceful, level site with good access and welcoming owners. Country park with woodland and a small lake opposite the site. Our recent stay was during the Brereton Teddy Bear Festival (July/August), lots of teddy bears displayed in front gardens in Brereton Heath, which made us smile everytime we approached the site. Well done Brereton Heath.

Our "Go to" CL

Small Holding
This site has been our “go to” for many years as it’s very handy for us. This year we’ve been back for the first time in a while and I’ve finally remembered to review it. It’s a lovely quiet site, right opposite Brereton Country Park so if perfect for walking. There are good walks to The Swettenham Arms (about 2 miles one way) and The Bears Head (about 2 miles the other way). Both are dog friendly and serve good food. Although it’s all grass pitches, we have never had a problem with the ground as it seems well drained. This site does get used as a quick stop over from north to south. I think it’s worth a longer stay – nearby is Jodrell Bank, The Peak District, Macclesfield Forest and local small towns for shopping. There’s also a caravan shop – Leisure Sales – about 3 miles away, which also has a café serving good breakfasts and home made cake.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Lovely large level site and very welcoming owner. Easy access to many places of interest. Roads to the site were very easy to negotiate and entrance is nice and wide. Really cannot find any faults and our solar panel kept us charged up all week so who needs mains hook ups. Nearby nature reserve with large lake a super walk. Next time we want to be in that area this is where we will stop.
