Great site

Barn View
Wow, what a fantastic site (didn't want to leave a review such a gem!). We stayed here for 10 days with family in another outfit. What a beautiful location, fantastic views of the castle, great for visiting Chester, Wales and Nantwich. Just a short walk to the Shropshire Union Canal. Clive couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating, even took the kids to visit the farm and then took my son fishing! Very relaxed site with lots of room for the kids to play Frisbee and a good dog walk from site. Would highly recommend, we'll definitely be returning. Thank you for a great holiday.

A Real Gem

Barn View
We have just had our first stay on this site and we will certainly be back again. Lovely peaceful site with great view towards Beeston Castle. Owners were welcoming and helpful with lots of local knowledge for walks, visits etc. Site is kept immaculate and grass cut regularly with the clippings being picked up by the lawnmower. Noted previous comments about pitch spacing but we didn't think it was a problem. We agree though that the entrance is narrow and needs to be taken carefully. All round, a really lovely stay - we will be back !!

Well located CL and lovely owners

Barn View
The site is well located for days out, pubs, towns, canals, cycling, and walking. It is accessed via a fairly narrow driveway, take it slowly though and you will be fine. You then have to drive over a field to the CL itself. Despite some torrential downpours, this field stayed firm. The spacing of units can be a bit haphazard as the EHU are not evenly spaced, meaning some units didn’t really consider how their pitching affected others and ended up with a pitch and half and everyone else was squashed into much smaller spaces and a bit on top of each other. A simple and easy solution would be pitch markers, or just leaving a small strip of long grass to denote the edges of each pitch. The site looks out toward Beeston Castle and it gets the sun for most of the day. We did suffer with a bit of late night/early morning noise from the farm not far behind the site, but this did only happen during the week, not at the weekend. There are two taps at the bottom of the site, along with elsan point bins and recycling bins. Grey waste can be piped into the field margins/ditch. The owners Clive, Jill and family are very friendly and Clive loves to chat (many a time he was called back to the house for his supper lol). He is a font of local knowledge and will give you advice on all the best places to go. Overall, a really nice site and great owners that just needs a tiny little tweak to pitch marking to make it spot on.

Blissful

Barn View
Beautiful large grassy field. Views to Beeston castle & hills. Friendly welcome from Harry (son) who told us to take any pitch along the top. Short grass track across field to site. Clive popped along to see us later with info on local eateries, walks, places of interest. 20 min walk from site across field path and along canal to 'The Shady' a delightful canalside pub/restaurant with very good food. Thank you Clive & family for a restorative, restful stay.
