Glossop Certificated Locations

Glossop is an historic mill town in Derbyshire located to the east of Manchester. It is surrounded on three sides by the boundaries of the Peak District National Park and sits at the foot of the Snake Pass.

A bustling small town with plenty of good places to eat and drink, Glossop makes a superb base for exploring the national park. The Pennine Way is crossed by the Snake Pass a couple of miles from the town and the brooding plateau of Bleaklow looms above the town. Popular routes to the top include Yellowslacks and Doctor's Gate, while other notable features include the site of a crashed B29 bomber at Higher Shelf Stones.
