Tavistock Certificated Locations

Tavistock is located on the banks of the River Tavy, from which it takes its name. Established in medieval times, its past as an administrative centre for tin mining and within the Cornwall and west Devon mining landscape is reflected in its Unesco World Heritage site status.

The town has a fine pannier market and lots of shops selling local produce.

It also makes a great base for walkers as it lies just west of the Dartmoor National Park and just east of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The historic city of Plymouth is also well within easy travelling range.
