A great Cl in the new forest

Black Hill Cottage
Just spent six nights at Blackhill Cottage. What a gem of a Cl in the new forest. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Plenty of room on the site. Walking and cycling from the site directly into the new forest. National trust houses / gardens close by. So much to do not too far from the site. We will be returning.

Lovely CL

Black Hill Cottage
Just returned from your second visit to Blackhill Cottage and if it's a peaceful location your looking for this is it. There is a little road noise but for us not a problem. Nice level pitches with plenty of space between. Picnic table on each pitch for sunny days (fingers crossed). Walking the dog is great as over the road and your right on the Forest.

Comfortable stay

Black Hill Cottage
Site is very close to forest and many walks are on the doorstep. Pleasant surroundings with hardstandings, water, EHU close, grey waste and chemical waste not too far. Only downside was the closeness of A36 which is busy most of the time (even during the night) Owners very friendly.

second great visit

Black Hill Cottage
We visited this cl for the second time recently and exactly the same comments apply. Friendly and accommodating hosts, perfect level hardstanding with shade available if required-picnic benches for each pitch and a super long hose that allowed us to fill the motorhome without moving even though we were on a different pitch to last time. Ideal location for mountain biking and walking in quieter areas of the forest without having to drive anywhere. Good selection of pubs nearby that could be walked to if required. There are also tennis courts 5 mins away that we have used on both our visits. This site has everything.

Lovely site on the edge of the New Forest

Black Hill Cottage
We spent one night here and will definitely return. The site is well kept and all 5 pitches are level hardstanding with electric hook-up. No toilets or showers but we always use our own facilities. The waste disposal area for grey water and toilet cassette was clean and well laid out. The area is outstanding with lovely walks in the new forest with ponies and donkeys roaming close by, although a cattle grid prevents them from coming on site. Very good for dog walking! The owners gave us a warm welcome and we would recommend a visit.
