Horncastle Certificated Locations

The market town of Horncastle is situated in the English county of Lincolnshire, between the Rivers Waring and Bain. It was once surrounded by a Roman wall and parts of it can still be seen, with another section on display in the town's library.

Horncastle lies at the edge of the Fens and so is excellent for exploring the countryside on foot or on a bike. However, there is also much to do within the town itself.

In particular, it is known for its array of antique shops and plenty of time can be spent browsing for potential bargains among the old items. It's also worth having a drink or bite to eat at The King's Head, as it is one of the only remaining mud and stud construction pubs in the country.

Horncastle is famous for its markets too, with weekly stalls arriving each Thursday and Saturday and a regular farmer's market also visiting the town to offer local produce like plum bread.
