Greetham Retreat CL was opened in 2010, it's a tranquil site, set in over 4 acres of natural grounds that includes areas of woodland, wildlife ponds, wildflower meadows with mown pathways and several seating areas taking advantage of the panoramic views across the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The grounds attract much wildlife throughout the year.

The CL site

Everyone is welcome, especially pets. We have five spacious level hard standing pitches and one grass pitch; they are terraced across a slight incline and have 16 amp electric hook-ups with space for awning and car parking with a good access roadway. The top quality private heated shower with grab rail, toilet room with level access and Wi-Fi are available at no extra charge.  For 2019, a discount for 7 night bookings at only £125 per week will be available.

The site has been built to the highest standards and is of similar quality to most Club sites, but benefits by only having a maximum of 5 vans, so it's never crowded. Each pitch has an open aspect overlooking the wildflower meadow.

Things to do

We can offer a selection of Holistic therapy or massage treatments to enhance relaxation during your stay whilst at Greetham Retreat but advanced booking and extra charges apply.

Greetham Retreat is ideally located for exploring the area, being about 3 miles from the market town of Horncastle famous for its antique shops. We are about half way between the historic Cathedral City of Lincoln and the wide sandy beaches of the East Coast and resorts like Skegness, Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe all within easy reach. We are close to several aviation heritage museums, including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and various nature reserves like Snipe Dales and Gibraltar Point for those who enjoy wildlife or bird watching. Caldwell Park for motorsports and Market Rasen racecourse are also nearby.

The Lincolnshire Wolds are ideal for those who enjoy walking or cycling. There is plenty to do in the area to keep everyone occupied and with several other attractive market towns also nearby like Boston, Louth, Spilsby and Woodhall Spa to explore. Or just enjoy our beautiful site and take a stroll around the grounds where you can just relax and unwind from the stresses of daily life.

Lived up to expectations!

Spent a week at this beautiful CL over the Bank Holiday period. The site was simple to find- thanks for the comprehensive instructions- and to our delight we were pitched at the bottom of the hill next to the services with a super big area of grass behind and to the side to catch the sun! The site is so well kept and the facilities are spotless. The dogs loved the mown paths between the trees for their early/ late walks too. It's a very quiet area with no noise at night apart from the owl which my partner spotted one evening. It was delightful to watch the two families of wild geese walking their offspring around the site. They seemed to grow in the week we were there! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back when we are next in this area.

A great CL

We have just come back from a week at Greetham Retreat (our second visit) - we think the site is fab in terms of peace, tranquillity, facilities and lovely hosts. The site is very well placed for visiting the Lincolnshire Wolds (both North and South); a short drive to both the coast and Lincoln (well under an hour for both) - we shall be back here - Julie and Rhiannon

Winter break in the Wolds!

My wife and I have just returned from this our first visit to Greetham Retreat CL. We received comprehensive arrival instructions per email, which ensured a peaceful arrival and no drama! We phoned ahead as instructed and the owner Rob told us which pitches were available to us. After pitching up which Rob kindly lent a hand with, we got settled in. Just after our tea, Rob came over and sat with us to tell us all that his and Jeanette 's CL site had to offer as well as the surrounding area. The attention to detail and thought that has gone into this site shows that Rob and Jeanette are seasoned Caravanner's, the site is absolutely immaculate. The shower come toilet block was cosily warm throughout our stay and as clean as our own bathroom at home and its free to members as well. WIFI and TV signals are all good, which is a bonus in the Wolds. The sun rises and sun sets where amazing as were the views over the Wolds from pitch 1. We saw a few Murmurations of Starlings as well. Rob kindly showed us around his holiday Cottages, which we will be sure to use at some point. Great stay, great owners, we will be back.

Fabulous site

Stayed for a week for the first time after having this lovely CL on our list to visit for quite a while. Rob & Jeanette are extremely welcoming, friendly and clearly passionate about their business. A bonus is that if you have family/friends who don't have a caravan/motorhome but want to holiday together, they have 5 holiday cottages on site too. Pitches are level and well laid out. Toilet & shower are immaculate and we particularly liked the red light, visible from all pitches, to indicate if they were available or not. Lovely grounds to wander around with picnic benches, outdoor chess & bbq area. Comprehensive information room plus the most informative website highlighting things to do/places to go/eat etc that I've ever come across. Plenty of dog walking on bridleways just outside site. A real credit to the owners. I have uploaded a short video to Youtube of the site and its facilities.

Lovely two night stay.

We spent two nights at this lovely CL. Booking and directions were fab with very easy arrival. Rob and Jeanette are very friendly and welcoming and answer any questions or queries you may have. The site itself is well laid out with a good walk/dog walk around the trees and lake. Toilet and shower facilities are available but we use our own so didn't visit them. Lots of local information in the information room, good walks to be had with your dog and a couple of pubs within walking distance too. TV reception was good as was the 4G signal. May well be back for another visit as we enjoyed it so much.
