Peaceful but highly priced

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2019. We were the only people on the site. There were 2 caravans parked up but not being used. The club website needs to be updated. We paid £ 24 per night. The grass is very well manicured. There are EHU for about 7 vehicles and one water tap. The toilets are just about acceptable. The lights are on a timer which had not been changed to take into account the shorter days so were unuseable without a torch for an hour or two. The pull switch in the shower was broken and so the shower was unuseable while we were there. It would have cost £ 1 per shower which is not cheap. The owner's mother who is in her 80s takes your money. She is a wonderful "old" lady who invited me into her living room for a "natter". The site is very peaceful. The area is also very dark so we were treated to one of the most fantastic views of the night sky that I have every seen. The sea is not visible from the pitches but the views are hedges, fields, hills and countryside. The site is extremely well positioned for people who, like us, are walking the Wales Coast Path. The Llyn Coastal bus stops about 10-15 minutes walk away from the site. The beach is about 5-10 minutes walk down a steep hill. There is Mickey's Bar on the beach but we did not see any other shops/facilities close by. Abersoch is possibly almost an hours walk.

Enjoyable stay but expensive for CL

Spacious, quiet, well kept, lawned, site with countryside views. Very expensive for the facilities: website says from £14 but paid £24 in July. However, for us it was location, location: only 15 minute walk to lovely beach and access to coast path or 15 mins to coastal hopper bus pick up point. Appeared to be 4 units on ‘seasonal’ pitches but only a couple in use while we were there so never more than 4 ‘active’ units and lots of space.

Quiet and well kept

This site has to be one of the most well kept we have been to. We have just spent 13 nights there and the grass was cut twice! The toilets and showers were very clean. The walk to the lovely beach is about a mile (you can take the car some of the way) and there ARE views but of the mountains. The only negative side, which seems to apply to a lot of sites now, is; although it is stated in the club book and website as being 4 acres, it is only 2 acres at the most. It would also help if the club sticker was on the sign on the road as is customary.  The previous reviewer said it was overpriced. We paid £20 pn in July and I would agree, that is a bit high for a CL.

A well kept site but not sure if value for money

I wish this CL had more reviews. I hate being the first published review and for it to have negative points, but hopefully some feedback may improve the site for the future. We recently stayed on this CL with a view to staying the week. Starting with the positives. The site is large, flat and there is lots of space between pitches. It is clean and tidy and obviously well kept. The toilets and showers were always clean. Unfortunately there are negatives. I don't think the site is value for money. The site is advertised on the website at £14 but actual pitch fee is £18. There is also a £1 meter for showers. The site is well out of the village, with no local amenities and although there is a walk to the beach (maybe 1 mile), we found it necessary to drive to the beach for ease. The site is surrounded by fields, but there was no sea view, which other local sites offered for the same price, although the noise of jet skis could be heard in the distance, breaking the tranquility. If you want a field which is almost quiet and has nothing else and don't mind paying high fees then this site is for you. We moved after 2 days to a site right on the beach for the same price with local amenities. I fully support the CL network and believe it generally offers great value for money. Unfortunately in this case I felt like I had been robbed. A fairer price would probably encourage more returning visitors.
